HOU or DAL will trade for him.

Iggy would be such a short term rental. Baze might be more long term if we decide to keep him.

First, that's not a realistic trade and doesn't help Memphis as they are likely looking for draft picks. Also, Bazemore can't be included in a multi player trade unless individually a straight player for player meets the CBA requirements. In this case, Bazemore and Iggy meet the requirements but Skal and Crowder don't

Idc, Iggy is a championship level acquisition. Baze is basically a buffer for Little.

One is way better than the other. That’s all that matters to me.
I don’t understand caring about how long a mediocre player is with the team.

So, make a couple realistic trades.

Go look at Iggy’s stats. How is he way better?

Probably not a better mentor for Nas than Iggy.

I don't think 100 years old iguodala is "way better" than Baze

Who would you rather have guarding a LeBron, Kawhi, or PG in the playoffs? Baze or Iggy?

    Bazemore

Kawhi will lock down Dame. Having a better offense around him would be our only hope. We'll still lose, but maybe not get embarrassed

How is he way better? Last season, Iguodala had an effective shooting percentage of 58 percent, which is ridiculous for a non-center, vs Bazemore's eFG% of 47%, which is horrible, same as Evan Turner.

Iguodala had 4.9 assists per 36 minutes with only 1.2 turnovers for an unreal 4.0 assist/turnover ratio.

Kent Bazemore had 3.3 assists per 36 minutes with 2.7 turnovers for a lousy turnover/assist ratio of 1.2 This is worse than AFA (1.4) and Harkless (1.6)

Iguodala is a high IQ player on both ends of the court. He would be the playmaker than we hoped Evan Turner would become.

I am not sure we'll even want Bazemore to touch the ball much on offense if his shooting stinks. There's a chance, with his salary, that he'll be the new Meyers Leonard/Evan Turner.
His shooting stunk last season, and 3 seasons ago. 2 seasons ago, his shooting was OK (50% eFG) but still below what AFA shot last season, 51% eFG%.
I'm sure he's a swell guy and plays good defense, but so did Evan Turner.

I don't know if Blazer fans are expecting a Tony Allen type player, but that's what I think we'll see.
For some reason people are forgetting that players take 2-point shots as well (usually more) as 3-point shots, and 35 percent 3-point shooting is undone by 46 percent 2-point shooting.
But all anyone wants to talk about is his career 35 percent 3-point shooting.

No, but I wouldn’t mind getting Iguodala some other way.

Tough call. Great arguments both side. Do we have a player who can defend LeBron? or Leonard? We got good shooters on the team and Iggy isn't a bad shooter.
Honestly, who cares what happens in 2 years? Which player can impact our game more next year alone? Based on what I seen this year, I would say Iggy ... more than Baze.

We just lost Aminu and Hark. Not saying it's bad. We had to move them cos they both were Batum case of giving their best sometimes only. Saying that I remember both were our top defenders. Yet, you preffer Baze, cos he can shoot better. Yogi Ferrel and others making career games on us will thank you for this.

Apart of ignoring defence another thing bunch of you seems to ignore for good few years is vets. I made about million post about vets in the past.
Experience that Baze can give you in the finals is so much better than Iggi's exp surely. I remember Tyson Chandler was to old for you two years ago, Vince Carter was to old too.
I think Iggy would make us move step forward. Baze? Is he moving the needle really? Really?

We needed to do something to account for teams trapping us. Stotts isnt gonna change so it had to be roster-wise.

We seemed ti be fine defensively in thebplayoffs with a Hood/Collins/Kanter frontcourt, so I dont understand your reservations about a Hood/Collins/Whitesode frontcourt.

Another thing about Iggy is he can handle the ball. Besides our three guards, who else can be trusted to do that?
