It’s not about Obama being perfect. He wasn’t. It’s about criticizing an overwhelmingly popular and well liked Democrat during a Democratic “debate”. It’s about how they handle a debate on national tv with a large audience. I think it was a mess. It was stupid. And if they keep it up it plays into Trumps hands. Dumb.
Go back, listen to the moderators questions, and then answer as to whether or not they steered the debate with right wing talking points.
Lol. No it won't. Buttigieg was right when he said no matter what, Trump is gonna label them all socialists. Now, when Warren, or Bernie wins, Trump will be a one termer.
I thought so too, but I was actually intrigued when he layed it out in an interview. He made some pretty damn good points about it. One being innovation. Think about all the good ideas you’ve had in your life but didn’t have the time or capital to get them off the ground. If everyone had a just a little more breathing room financially we could all do our little side projects, make some cash with a little side business. Painting, woodworking, crochet, music, whatever the fuck people enjoy in their lives they should be able to do. How many brilliant ideas have we lost to 9-5 jobs and depression? It’s probably a shit ton.
You're kidding. The both might as well be Republican. They're both DINOS. War mongering mass incarcerators.
Honestly, the more of what I saw in the debates the more I kept thinking oh boy, their gonna hand this to Trump again. I hope they pull it together later but kind of made me start preparing myself for another 4 years of this...
Are you ever not pissy? It costs $3T a year. I’ve read and heard varying way he plans to pay for this and each time it seems iffy at best that the math works. And isn’t it true that if someone already receives govt assistance that will either reduce or eliminate their payment? So this doesn’t help them?
That was enabled by Bush. And you never used to be able to have that high of a put option on stocks. Bush enabled derivatives to be completely unregulated. Again, this was fixed by a Democrat.
I didn't think they were disparaging Obama too much. It's not like the man was a perfect president, there's absolutely nothing wrong with talking about things they would do better/different than Obama. And not all Democrats are huge fans of him anyway.
It's not about fault though, he's not saying to blame robots, or people who made the robots, instead of immigrants. He's saying we need to look for solutions to automation, not stop it.
No. I’m not going to go rewatch it. I watched it once. The questions were legitimate. They were questions voters have. A small % of people watched that last night and thought “wow that was great”. It wasn’t.
Who cares what it costs? The money goes right back into the economy. There's lots of low banking fruit to cut. Bring our soldiers home from Afghanistan and we save over 5 billion a month. And to that I'll quote Elizabeth Warren:
Stop... You're the only one in here right now who doesn't believe it was Bush's fault.... I can't believe you just said that...
Value added tax pays for a lot of it bruh. Yang has been going around to big corporations for years talking to them about UBI. Listen to his Joe Rogan podcast. It explains in more detail. Nobody will have a reduced benefit. They can continue receiving the assistance they currently receive or do the $1,000 a month.
It will not be reduced. But it will have to be offset against whatever they currently get. At least that’s what i read. If you get $300 in assistance, you get $700. And so on. I don’t know what people get from welfare etc. I hope it works.
