I didn’t get to see this game, but given Serbia had already qualified for the next round, and the minutes played by some of their players (Marjanovic 1:30, Jokic 16:47) I thought Serbia might have been throwing the game to avoid the USA before the final; but no, their loss has put them directly in the path of the USA.

Anyone watch this game, and can enlighten me as to what happened (besides terrible three point shooting, and turnovers)?

Edit: Oh, I see now, Jokic thrown out of the game. What about Marjanovic? Injury?

Jokic got thrown out well after the game was out of hand, and probably BECAUSE of that.
Boban was -6 in less than 2 minutes. Serbia also has Milutinov and Raduljica, who were having better games. I haven't heard anything about an injury.

Bogdanovic continues to be the player of the tournament so far, but Claver played him pretty damn tough in this game.

We have the fucking MVP and the referees treat him like he is nobody. This is a joke of a foul that got him out of the game.

Assuming USA defeat Brazil today, what is the tie breaker between Greece, Brazil, and Czech Republic? Is it just point differential amongst their games against one another?

It's amazing to me that the free throw Caboclo snatched off the rim during a round 1 game nearly a week ago is going to be the thing that keeps Greece from advancing out of round 2.

Greece it out, If Brazil wins they go through otherwise it's Czechs that qualify.

Shouldn't every player be treated equally regardless of fame ?

Mostly i was talking about disrespecting him, not to favor him over others.

Read an interesting note today that the only team with no current OR former reps in the WC this year is Miami. They have Dragic now, but that's pretty much it. Riley doesn't like to look overseas for talent, it seems.

I think it’s points differential over the whole tournament, not just against one another.

I don’t like it because it encourages beating up on, and embarrassing weaker nations.

Which seems like a bad idea to me.

The one thing that has really stood out to me this tournament is the large number of NBA players.

I don’t know if it’s more than at any previous tournament, but it sure seems like it.
