We need to hear it first

 

From what I understand it's pretty easy to get a podcast onto several different Apps. I'm going to prefer listening on an app without video.

 

Podcast will be up a little later than 3.

 

YouTube froze on the upload of our first podcast, so I have no idea when it'll drop.

 

I was hoping to listen / watch at the gym, and Im heading there now.

So we had conversation already. But here we go. It was four and a half minutes before you even started talking numbers. Then it was over 11 minutes before you were done telling us all the things people suggest that were just not viable options. Not many people have an hour and a half to sit and listen to this sort of thing.
Constructive criticism #1. Don't take this as a personal attack. Maybe move along a bit faster? Have specific agenda and hard hitting facts and maybe give a little more player based info. Bones actually said "Keep this fun and interesting". I applaud this statement. Keep it coming!
Constructive criticism #2. Don't take this as a personal attack. Maybe the look could be better? After our last go around i did some thinking. Honest thinking about how it could look better. Maybe you have already thought about this? Find a venue. A place that doesn't look like a bedroom or a sheet in back. Do you have a local bar or coffee shop you can do this at? I suggest a bar that plays Blazer games. Then plug that bar and try to get a crowd going. Here is my point. People like S2 posters could actually show and be part of the atmosphere. Maybe you can't do this every podcast and of course there are no games yet. But what better way to get revenue that having a sponsor like that?

Now this is an honest look and i hope you both take it as such.

Good Luck to both of you. I will continue to try to find time and sneak a peak. At this point that is the only way i know how to support you guys?

PS- I agree with Hoops. I don't think Iggy would be willing to come here either.

This video has hash marks in the timeline. Nice addition.
I disagree on Durant though.... 6'-10" at best.
Official Age is gonna be harder and harder to do with the continued addition of Asian players. There are few birth certificates in China.
Boy oh Boy Hoops doesn't like the idea of changing the free throw. His face says everything!

Technical Note. The sound on Hoops was way way better!

 

People have said they want it to be over an hour. We dont care if they only listen to part of it or skip ahead. Everybody wants a different pace so its never possible to satisfy everyone, therefore we move at a pace were comfortable with. Were going to go in-depth and cover nuances of the game, salary cap, etc. Some people will like it, some will want something that glosses over things more and has a faster pace, which is why we have other podcasts.

A venue? At midnight with wifi? Plus the setup gets much harder.. It's YouTube. The background is fitting and to be expected on YT. And as I've said, I plan on designing a studio. I dunno man, a venue has no redeeming quality in my opinion, especially given the hastle (me and HoopsJock live 45 minutes away from each other).

 

I just listened to rip city report with Casey and Joe and a listener asked them why they don't do a video podcast…..they both answered that they thought visuals took away from content in their case and it was unnecessary to have the audience watch them sit for over an hour talking....there's a freedom in that in a way. You just eliminate all the setup, lighting and venue problems....can even do it by phone conference or in a hotel room, etc.....as far as venues...where I live you can book a conference room with great furniture, lighting and tables at the local library which has the best WiFi in the county...they have their own massive server...just a thought. The library is high speed fiber optic cable. no WiFi issues period. You can check out a key and use the rooms after library hours with just a cleaning deposit...the whole building is yours at that point and you don't pay for anything....can even use their kitchen. The deposit is refundable if you don't trash the room. They said if they were to post on youtube they'd just have a picture of Joe holding his baby and audio only.

 

The younger demographics love videos though. I feel like videos help it feel more personal. Also, doing it on video helps us reach more of an audience on a different platform than all the other Blazers related podcasts out there right now.

Besides, very soon they will be available as audio only in addition to the videos so people can consume it whichever way they want. As soon as our technical glitches are solved we'll be doing these live too. YouTube is a great place to present live material.

 

I figured that so I added the info about a library venue.....the rooms they have are awesome and the lighting is great...tables have usb ports...flat screen tvs...the works...they even have a video projector with a giant screen you could use....to do your podcast right....this might be the ticket. In our venue you can book it for a few months at a time then you have to book it again but once you're on the calendar.....it's yours on a schedule.

 

Cornelius just built a new Library and it’s fantastic, but honestly my in home WiFi is like 3x the speed of their WiFi. Good suggestions overall though.
