When we decide to play defense, we all of a sudden look good and start getting easier shots on offense. Go figure.

No, it was a miscommunication. Both Dame and Hood thought they were supposed to get Hield, and both hesitated when they ran out to Hield and needed up leaving Fox. The communication should have came much sooner as to who picks up who.

    1st Half thoughts:

    • CJ still in the bricklaying zone....maybe the dunk will get him going
    • Simons is NOT in the bricklaying zone
    • Dame getting to the rim at will
    • Still yet to find anyone on the Blazers who can figure out how to throw the tallest/longest guy on the floor a lob pass
    • Blazers still can't guard the 3'pt line
    • Bench much better tonight (20 points in the 1st half)
    • Whiteside shooting 82% so far early in the season
    • The mystery remains as to why Tolliver was brought here....

I hear yeah... Looks CJ did decide to wake up bit. CJ has looked to still be in offseason form over all to me though lol

CJ has made an actual effort to look for others tonight. He's still gotta score some for us to win though. I don't know what more you want from him.

The only guy that knows consistently what he's doing on defense is Zach. When Zach is involved in the PnR you notice he's always pointing at his man where to go and how to play the screener. I'd like to see him be more vocal towards the rest of the team and direct traffic. It's part of what makes Draymond so valuable on defense.

Miscommunication like that is unacceptable. The first priority of transition defense is to pick up ball. Neither did.

The word of the month should be communication. Honestly, our defense shouldn’t be this bad on the perimeter, it’s mostly missed assignments that can be corrected easily. They just really need to talk on the floor.

We are going to get destroyed against big name 3-point shooting teams in this league. That NEEDS to get fixed.

To hit some shots. Guard someone... anyone... His rotations are terrible. Some of his passes were pretty terrible too. Like the lob to whiteside early in the gsme was not a good pass.

Defend the three point line better, and we’ve got this game.
