    the NBA has rules against punches and fighting....but it looked like Embiid and Kat were just locked in a very tight embrace, dancing around, and neither one knew who was the lead. I guess the NBA needs rules against hugging

    Both Giles and Swanigan were Blazer picks.

    I could see us taking a flier on Giles. He's shown some things in the games he's played. Some really nice passing ability at the 5 spot. His problem has been staying healthy.

    So the Kings are waiving Giles and Jackson was already traded to Dallas as part of the Harrison Barnes trade. Safe to say we won the Collins trade. Now you could argue we should have taken Donovan Mitchell......

    If you're declining a player on their rookie scale contract you're basically saying they aren't even worth a roster spot NOW. I don't know the last player who has had their rookie TO declined and ended up re-signing with the team, but it is probably super rare.

    I would definitely take a shot at Giles next summer. Actually that’s a pretty predictable move; I think Portland liked him, just not as much as Zach.
