    Just to be clear to the point of redundancy with some of the comments above, Nurkic not returning this "year" could even mean he's a month ahead of the guesstimated schedule of February 2020.

    Actually he is right in saying he wont play this year. He is not out this season, but if he isn't playing next month, he is indeed out for the year.

    I've never understood why people ever refer to a season as a year. An NBA season is not a year long and always takes place in two different years. Just say season. Hopefully no one will think "out for the season" means out for autumn.
