I have a ton of shit to donate/give away. Mainly clothes I don't wear, like two big ass boxes worth. Cool shit too.

    Best place to do so?

Goodwill is convenient but it seems scammy.
The homeless missions are too far to drive to.

Goodwill is a total fraud, an exploiter of the handicapped and disabled.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna end up driving down to skid row to the LA Mission. I think they just give clothes to homeless people instead of just selling it at their stores for profit. Its a good 20+ miles from me versus a Goodwill donation center down the block from me, but yeah, its just a place to get free shit and they sell. Seems scammy.

I do have a bunch of shit in Portland too at my parents house. It seems they do thrift shops too. I'd rather donate to a center that gives clothes away for free instead of selling it. Who knows where that money goes.

Maybe bump this up when there is a coat drive in Dec....gonna sort through my stuff a bit.

For the stuff at your parents' house, I'd recommend the Paying it Forward store. They set up every month at my church, and sell nothing--everything is free.

My sister volunteers at the Assistance League. The money goes to disadvantaged youth in the Portland Metro area. It's a legit organization and they do good work.

Put them in that shitty car of yours, leave the car unlocked, once they're stolen file a claim on your insurance.

    Buy new stuff.

Central City Concern down on lower W. Burnside is also a good place to drop off your local stuff. They work with the homeless, addiction issues etc, etc. A very worthy organization.

My brother once worked at Goodwill. They seem pretty straight up. I've never heard anything bad about them.

My wife and I have donated a lot of things to Goodwill with no regrets.

Good grief, I once owned a leisure suit. I think Goodwill got it eventually. I told you I was stupid when I was young. Maybe now you'll believe me.

Outside In is a good organization. They do stuff for the disadvantaged youth such as runaways. They notify the parents of runaways that their child is safe but do not reveal where the child is so the child will not lose faith in them.

Time being infinite, I'm going to say yes but it might not be for a long, long, long, long . . . time.

You don't think time will come to an end some day do you? OMG, that's stirred up things in my head. I think I need a drink.
