Dame/Wes/Nic/LA/Rolo was better Dame/CJ/Moe/Chief/Nurk was better I think both were better than the current line up. Even if you don't think much of Moe & Chief, Nurk was too good last year.
Melo and Hood are so much better than Mo and Chief it's not even fucking funny. The gap between Whiteside and Nurk isn't enough to make that lineup better.
Nurk is so much better passing out of the post and scoring....I see a big difference...Hassan had a great game...Nurk has had many great games...Nurk is better in a few areas...Hassan is a better shot blocker but not at anything else from my view...we've missed good passing from our front court players....Melo and Nurk are both good passers..Nurk sets massive screens
All i know is after 10 blocks in one game it's kind of hard to think about letting Whiteside go this season at any time?
Yeah i have read that a few places but of course i ain't anyone and certainly don't agree with everyone so here i stand.
Yes it was Rolo’s first season with us. We had the best record in the league. That is my least favorite season though because we were awful in the middle portion of that season. It was so depressing. We fell to 5 seed and we had to win 8 of our last 10 to get that. First round was great but like I said, that regular season was ultimately awful in its entirety.
What?? Dame doesn’t play with all heart? How can Dame not be everyone’s favorite Blazer of all time? Outside of maybe Terry Porter.
So, the year Wes got hurt, I remember vividly telling my Dad how I thought the Blazers could win a championship with that group, they just needed something positive from their bench and they could hang with anyone... It was only a few weeks later I saw Wes get hurt, Ive never been so devastated by an athletes injury in my life, not only did I think that was the end of their season, but I was sure at that point that, that was the last time Id see Wes playing in a Blazer uni. It takes a lot to make me cry, but that came really close. Then to top it off I ended up being right, and then when Wes came out and talked about how disrespected he felt by Neil not contacting him at all, and all that it took me a long time to not be pissed at Neil. The Blazers have been lucky enough to have a few players that would run through a wall for their teammates and Wes was that type of guy, whatever he lacked in talent he made for in heart. Anyways, man I miss that guy, too bad he hasnt quite been the same since then.
No one said Dame didnt, and its easy I know people who would choose Maurice Lucas, or Bill Walton, over Dame. People gravitate towards people for different reasons. I really like Dame, I think he’s great on and off the court, but he’s number 2 for me, there have been times that he’s been close to taking it from Wes, but its Wes for me.
Well he might win a championship this year so there’s that. Wes was important in 2015, yes, but we still had 2 All Stars and couldn’t win more than 1 playoff game. I was ready to move on from that core. At least I was ready to move on from Batum.
