I agree but green font on my sarcasm would have saved me countless arguments on this site. It's ain't the joke obviously as we have just witnessed. Lets see if anyone can pick up the sarcasm there? Or Here?

Nope, a team coming off a WCF rin after winning 49 and 53 wins the last 2 season with Damian Lillard in his prime shouldnt be held to a 41-win standard.

until and if Melo becomes a problem, I'm going to assume Dame, Stotts, and a 'last chance' will make Melo a significant net-positive, especially considering the alternatives at PF

Congrats to Melo on winning player of the week..... BUT........ Harden averaged 48/5/7 and didn’t win it?

Someone was saying teams that only play 2 games usually don't qualify but yeah both Harden and Doncic both are clearly above Melo last week.

Correct. You must play 3 games to qualify for Player of the Week.

Max is awesome! He was one our announcers for my HBO Boxing package....... and he didn't even know my name. He just called me, "NBA".
He'd tell me I was the only one on the crew who he could talk hoops with. I used to tell him he deserved an Emmy every year just based on having to work with that asshat Steven A Smith!

My opinion is that he was a horrible fit on Houston and OKC. I thought he would fit well here three years ago and so far he is. Stotts was originally brought in because of LMA. He was part of the success in Dallas with Dirk and Melo really isn’t that much different than Dirk at this point. Neither one of them are/were good defenders. I think Melo can still be an effective scorer and he is thriving in Stotts’ system with Dame.

The best thing from all this is seeing us dump the ball into a post player who can actually do something with it! It's so refreshing. He is either going to score on them or get fouled. Also, for the first time since LA, I have seen the opposing team actually send a double team to the post against us.

I'm not a big Melo fan and I'm not totally buying in that this will work (yet), but I'll admit so far I've been wrong about him. He's been good.

You still don't think it has worked? It has taken two of our worst players off the court.....isn't that considered a success?

Well it "has" worked for the past few games. It's made me excited to see what this starting 5 can do going forward, but the defense is so bad at times... Yeah, It's pretty important to get Tolliver out of playing Center and Mario's been pretty bad too. For me measuring if it "worked" or not is, does it make them a contender, or keep them afloat until some one gets healthy? I don't know, and I also don't know if any of the hurt bigs will "get healthy" any time soon.
