BTW, I'd still take the Clippers over the Lakers right now in a fair game.

Unfortunately, if the Lakers are going to be officiated this way the whole year, no one will beat them, and that's a shame, because there are several other teams out there that are as good or better, at least on the same plane. But this star system just kills interest in me. They're good, but AD and LeBron do commit fouls and turnovers. Everytime they miss, it is not a foul on the other team. Cripes.

I had some optimism that the blazers were going to be able to turn this season around with this stretch of home games, but with Rodney going down so has my optimism.

Same, just wish we got more technical fouls.

Clippers have better depth, but Lakers have the refs.

Nice we held them to 77 points in a half. Should be able to hold them to under 160 by the end of the game

I know it won’t happen but what I’d really love to see is Luka Doncicing the Lakers out of the playoffs.

F ESPN, "don't worry AD is ok.". Not a mention of Stotts being ejected.

Anyone got a clip of that play?

So Rondo hit those 3s and they went off. Bron hit 3 in a row as well to bury us, but somehow, if not refs, this game could go other way at some point.
We are so bad on defense and Lakers shoots 47% on 3s, but still their win was setted by refs. That was the only Lakers game I've watched this season and now I know where their record came from. Refs.
And, dear god, I miss Sheed so much on this heads down team..

He seems to me to have played worse since we signed Melo. Could be he’s worried about his place in the rotation, and maybe his importance to the franchise; and is attempt to respond in the only way he knows how, scoring.

Perhaps he needs some reassurance from both the coaches, and the senior players.

Well we lost to a team that is better than us. The bigger loss is losing Hood for the season. Now we'll have to start Baze and he isn't the shooter Hood is. This season is a tough one but I still think we start winning more and will ultimately make the playoffs.

O/live says Hood ruptured his tendon

    https://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/...36-113-to-los-angeles-lakers-game-rewind.html

Edit: Hood left Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with 4:41 left because his Achilles tendon felt sore. Hood told The Oregonian/OregonLive ahead of Friday’s game that his Achilles was still bothering him, but he felt it was manageable and he would be able to play against the Lakers. That turned out to be a mistake.

I don't think anyone is saying the refs decided this game. But was the officiating so one-sided that it wasn't even competitive by the fourth quarter? Yeah. Were some of the calls absolute jokes? Absolutely.

The Lakers shot better than usual. They would have won this game on a typical night. But anyone who didn't think there were a lot of really weird calls you don't see called that way if you are playing, say, Indiana, I'm not sure what to say.

I spent most of the night watching the Ducks win the Pac-12 title. By the time I tuned into the Blazer game it was in the middle of the 4thQ. Don't have the patience, or the sobriety, to read thru this thread, but I have a couple of questions:

    * giant bummer about Hood. Am I recalling it wrong when I think that Hood has been missing a game or two because of a sore Achilles?

    * I see the Lakers shot 54% and 47% from three. Were they hot or was it typical bad defense by the Blazers

    * I did remote over the the Blazer game a few times, When I did it seemed like Dame was getting tons of contact whenever he had the ball. Was that the way the night went?

Blazers now 1-9 against teams with winning records, but with Hood out it's going to be hard to turn that record around. Bad night for Blazer fans...yuck

They have everything else and a much superior bench, IMO.

National ratings are down, NBA’s only solution is to make sure l*kers win the ‘ship. They no good at figuring out other ways.

I hate to say I think there's some truth to that, but their might be. Or you at least get them to the finals. If the Bucks beat them there, it's OK, and makes a great underdog story.
