If the Blazers want to get somebody good at the trade deadline, they need to offer McCollum and our #1 pick. This could get us a major piece of the puzzle—someone who can score without resorting to one-on-one play, and who can also play standup defense. This would make us a better team. And why do we need another #1 pick, anyway? Lillard is in his prime, and the window is open NOW. I say get ‘er done, Olshay. With Nurkic and Collins added to our lineup by the playoffs—and another legitimate scoring threat—I think we could make some noise in the playoffs. And don’t say wait until next year. This franchise has been waiting till next year for forever. It’s time to go get a title.
Sure, throw out this idea without mentioning one realistic player that the Blazers could get that would accomplish this.
Fine. You've suggested who/what we should give up. Who do you think we can get for what you propose that will put us over the top? Are you suggesting this can land us a Kawhi, Paul George, etc. level player or who, exactly, are you targeting with such a suggestion. It is easy to say what you're willing to give up but match that with who you think we can get for it and then we can more appropriately bombard you with jeers and insults.
I would totally do that for Luka Doncic. You should have your people call Cuban's people and get this deal done!
Too bad they wouldn't trade Dame and the rest of our picks ever for Luka, before someone tells me that they cant if they wanted too, I know...
If we didn't do CJ for Jimmy Butler or CJ for Paul George what makes you think Neil's trading CJ now?
Nice to know you know they didn't trade CJ for Jimmy or Paul George. Spoiler just because you say a trade works, doesn't actually mean the other team wanted him
