I'm not the one throwing out unsubstantiated rumors. I do know that Jody Allen said this after his passing.

Jody Allen was named executor of the estate on Oct. 24.

“I have been given the great responsibility to steward Paul’s wealth in service of his vision for the future. I will do all that I can to ensure that Paul’s vision is realized, not just for years, but for generations,” she said in a statement at the time.

The Portland Trailblazers were a big deal to Paul Allen and being his sister she is very much aware of that. You are spreading unsubstantiated gossip based on just your feelings.

 

Financially sure. Performance on the court, who knows. Every really, really rich person I've ever known, pays people, who pay people to monitor that stuff and has a real interest in only a few of their businesses beyond the "numbers".

 

She's already sold some of that stuff. I'm not spreading anything, I'm saying what I think. Which is I don't think it would be shocking to learn that she is barely aware of their record this year.

 

Well, lots of businesses keep data and performance of things, that may not be directly involved in sales, like "free downloads" and things like that.

 

Do you know how much his company would buy and sell on a yearly basis? Selling off some assets is no proof of anything. She has also been seen at the home games this year so she obviously has some care, but you believe whatever you want to as you have clearly made up your mind. I deal more in absolutes than unsubstantiated speculation so we will end this by agreeing to disagree.

You gotta have at least a passable bench and we don't even have that. We do well until we start substituting in our bench. Also, without a bench our starters have to play longer and longer minutes. A lot of this will ease when we get our injured players back. Still, a bench is important.

Sorry tbf, but that doesn't really prove anything other than they are selling off some assets. For all we know Paul Allen could have instructed them to sell it as well as other assets.

 

The whole thread is speculation, in fact, that's basically the entire forum and your posts are just as much your opinions as mine are. I don't mind if you want to disagree. I've seen very little proof that she's really involved. So yes, my speculation and my thoughts is she isn't that involved and like I said to begin with I wouldn't be shocked to learn she's not even really aware of where they're at as a team right now. I still think injuries and all that have bought Stotts and NO at least this season and possibly next.
You disagree and think Jody's more involved and more aware, and you would be surprised if she's not on top of all that. Ok fine.

Isn't that literally speculation. It's just as much speculation as me saying I wouldn't be shocked if she doesn't know about how the Blazers are doing this year. You're saying oh they could've been instructed to sell it. You're right we don't know, I don't know, you don't know it's our opinions. It's ok to have opinions.

 

The 1.6B is what the Blazers were valued at in 2019, and the 20B is what her net worth is according to Forbes so how is 10% too low?

The last figures that I heard were that the Blazers were worth $2 Billion and her wealth was estimated at $17 Billion and going down.
However, I haven't reviewed these numbers in a couple years and it looks like things have changed. I now see that the Blazers' wealth is $1.6 Billion and it appears that Jody Allen's net worth is about $20 Billion. So, I was 100% right about the value of the Trail Blazers and the net worth of Jody. Oh come on, surely by now you know me.
