I'm wondering about something CBA related: Ariza's guarantee deadline is June 30. It used to be a player with a contract like that could be traded around the draft and the team receiving the contract could then cut the player, saving money the following season. But I seem to remember that option was closed in the latest CBA....am I recalling things wrong about the CBA?
Just saw the trade can't be completed until the 21st because of some sort of restrictions on Wenyen's contract. So do Baze and AT play in the two games between now and then?
Yes the tax bill got cut, but this move also made the team better and one can argue that they’re now in a better position to add money in a trade. The bill isn’t due tomorrow. Time will tell.
I've been reading everything, laughing and having a good time, but this^^^^ was sobering, and probably likely. What a season.
Huh. Wenyen is a tasty little prospect. Love what I'm seeing from him. Athletic and has range. 5 star prospect played at Kentucky. We can work with that!
Ok so: saving money: always good, all things being equal. bazemore: garbage Tolliver: garbage 2nds in 2025: near worthless for ariza: garbage Caleb: garbage Wenyon Gabriel: an intriguing prospect? Seems like he has some potential. Gonna have to check him out. So we save money, don’t really get worse this year (if it even matters), and pick up a prospect. Id say it’s a win. A small win, but a win.
So tasty that he's an able bodied basketball player which we fucking need. EDIT: able bodied basketball player with upside which we fucking need. Neither Baze or Tolliver have any upside.
When you go off ranting & raving about something you don't understand even though others are correcting you.... its deserved
