When was the last time I suggested a 4-team trade? I don't think I've suggested one all season. So it seems like you're just making up stuff to talk bitch about. Kinda weird for your age to do that over the internet towards someone a third your age, but you do you man.

If I did come up with a 4-team trade, it was only for the fun of it.

    Relax.

If that doesn't happen then you're an idiot for suggesting it because you wasted your time suggesting something that didn't happen. /s

If people don't like talking about trade ideas, why would they click on a trade idea thread?

    Same.

I don't think New York wouldn't do that anyway. They want a 1st for Morris.

It was reported today that Minnesota is asking for a 1st, 2nd, and young players for Covington.

Ah, and we can’t combine a player with Ariza till after the season.

We could work the Whiteside trade to Dallas in a way where they get Delon Wright (they need a PG), a 1st from us, and a 2nd from Dallas. Not sure if that would get it done or not but that's probably the best we can do.

I wonder if Boston could agree to something like this (added pieces for salary fit will be needed):

    Portland: RoCo, Kanter

    Minny: Smart, Portland picks

    Boston: Whiteside

That's not close to working for Boston.

Sucks that Whiteside’s salary is so large, really hampers our trade possibilities. Cause I know teams like Boston, LAC, LAL, Dallas, etc. would love to add him but it’s so hard to match.

Not only that, but there's no chance they'd even consider it if it was available.

Listen kid, where in my post did i say it was to you? It was said in general, but obviously your guilt thought it about you. One thing this forum can always count on, you talking crap and you then playing the victim. Your act is very obvious.

If dipping the tax isn’t actually the objective, or if they’re unable to accomplish it, there are a few dudes that fit into the Bazemore TPE I’d take. Keef and Ed Davis for example.

I'd add Saric to that too, he was benched a couple weeks ago.

Also, if they traded Whiteside and a wing like Porter was coming to Portland then Aaron Baynes would be a fantastic filler center until the bigs were healthy and he'd come with Full Bird Rights this off season to keep him as a backup.

On our podcast today @BonesJones and I talked with a couple Dallas fans and both of them said they would do this trade:

Dallas gets Hassan Whiteside and Caleb Swanigan (using their TPE) or Mario Hezonja (maybe even both?)

Portland gets Courtney Lee, Delon Wright, and a 2020 2nd round pick via GS (currently 31st)

This trade gets Portland completely out of the tax this year while Dallas is still comfortably under the tax. I'm guessing Dallas would possibly even throw in another future 2nd to sweeten the deal and the Blazers could replenish one of their 2nds they gave up in the Ariza trade.

The best part is even if you don't like this particular haul for Whiteside the door would still be open for other moves. Delon Wright would have some trade value either now or in the future. Lee's expiring is smaller to match other contracts plus we'd have 1sts and two 2020 2nds to attach to it.

    Wright, 1st, and a 2nd for Covington?

Wright and a 2nd for Rose?

I don't know but there'd be a lot of ways to be creative. They'd have a few trade exceptions for a year too between the one generated in this trade and the Ariza trade.

For all the talk about Philly having to break up Simmons & Embiid, would you offer CJ, Nurkic and picks for Embiid? I feel like that is even a good deal for Philadelphia - they get a replacement center who may fit better with Simmons as he doesn't need the ball as much, they get an elite shooter and perhaps a decent pick this year to add talent.

Delon Wright is very good and fits that Dallas team perfectly. No reason for them to trade him.

Yes in theory he is a great fit and they were hyping him up during offseason as the perfect fit next to Luka, but they are playing him 15 minutes.
