It was ultimately the decision of the pilot regardless of what Kobe wanted. The pilot was experienced. He should have known better.
I don't understand this. But it does show the influence Kobe had on the generation playing in todays NBA.
Chris, I think it's a bit premature to be assigning blame. While the weather is likely an important factor, we do have input from one of our posters here that it wasn't that bad in the area where the crash occurred. I don't think that mechanical failure can be ruled out either. The records show that the pilot climbed to get above the clouds/fog and then show the copter descending at a rate of more than 4,000 feet per minute. That's an uncontrolled crash, which it seems to me would only happen if something major broke or the pilot lost consciousness for some reason. The investigation will ultimately give a better picture of what the causes were.
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/planters-cutting-super-bowl-commercial-160400310.html In light of the death of Kobe Bryant, Planters is cutting the super bowl marketing campaign involving the death of Mr. Peanut who the company killed off in a firey car crash. It is unclear if the commercial involving Mr Peanut's crash, and his scarificial fall into a pit of fire, leading to his cream-ation, will still air. Planters has said they will suspend all social media advertising on the campaign.
You co There have been cases where a pilot becomes disoriented spacially or confused by instrument readings and performs a maneuver that makes the aircraft uncontrollable resulting in a high-impact crash. Not saying that is the case here. "The Boston Globe talked to Randy Waldman, a helicopter flight instructor in the Los Angeles area. “If you’re flying visually, if you get caught in a situation where you can’t see out the windshield, the life expectancy of the pilot and the aircraft is maybe 10, 15 seconds, and it happens all the time, and it’s really a shame,” he said."
Damn, this post from Melo really makes this real. Kobe said he was coming to the game on Friday and Melo joked with him about how GiGi needed a day off cause he works her so much.
According to friends I know currently living in China, travel is banned in several parts of Hebei Province as well. Also the resumption of school after Spring Festival has been delayed for an unknown amount of time. Scary situation there.
The last shall be first and the first shall be last. None are tested with that which they are not capable of overcoming. Those who've spent time in the rain are the cleanest once they reach the sun. I feel Melo man. These guys are glorified as celebrities and sometimes we forget they are as human as you and I. They all have their own battles and this is evident when we see things like Delonte West being an addict out on the streets, or players who HAVE WHAT IT TAKES to play in the league, yet drop out because they battle mental health issues that they fight harder than they fight out on the court.
Tonight's Inside the NBA on tnt was a brutal watch. Unbelievable how these dude were able to hold it down. Give them another emmy.
