Have to be so impressed with what we're seeing from this squad. Utah is going to have the advantage with their fresh legs in the 2nd half, but I'm not betting against Dame!

We got two veteran wings that are still good ballers and a bench starting to blossom.
The chemistry seems really good and I like Ariza D and smart play.

I hope we have enough energy to hold on in the second half. If we do we will finally see the wisdom of Stott's strategy to save Nassir for this game!

Early in the season we couldn't close out a quarter if safe our life. Now we are closing quarter very strong. Offense continue to click and now our defense is closing up. The 2nd quarter was a 30-19 quarter.

Gobert is 0/3 and all three shots were on Hassan.

He's our best +/- guy and it's not just noise because he's moving quickly with purpose and giving up the ball well.

At the rim in the first half...

    Blazers: 13/18
    Jazz: 4/12

Little bit of luck in there with some missed open court layups by Utah

    Floater range...

    Blazers: 2/8
    Jazz: 2/9

If we keep playing like this I think its possible we could be .500 at the all star break which would be pretty good, all things considered.

I don't know how many here have been on a BB court that has an NBA 3 point line. I have but it's probably been 25 years since, back when I was in reasonable shape and not on Medicare. I was actually a decent outside shot but until you've gunned up shots from the arc, you don't really know how far it is. The point being to see Dame launch step-back fade-away three's, almost effortlessly, in game flow, and actually go nothing-but-net is beyond impressive to me. I wouldn't have had a prayer of hitting one of those unless the basket was at the foul line, or the hoop was as big as the restricted area. And to do it with somebody like Gobert in your face?....holy shit

Simons could average 30 ppg from here on out.
He might shut up about him.
But he'll find another player to hammer on.
Couple years ago when CJ was having his best year he hammered on Lillard being ass.
    Lillard shut him up.

I might have missed it. But has he ever criticized CJ?
This is how we all know who it is.

I believe Gobert set the record for most dunks in a season last year.
