...is looking ready for the glue factory. Last ten games: mpg: 34.6 ppg: 11.2 fg%: 34.5 3%: 28 fta: 13 (in 311 minutes) apg: 2.1 rpg: 7.6 That's our starting power forward! And notice none of this measures defense, which is supposed to be his weakness.
I love Carmelo and ecstatic he's finally a Blazer.. That said, he is struggling offensively, but I will argue his defense is actually good, and he seems to blend and like it here. His shots are all good ones, they're just missing... He is still a great post up option (maybe the best we have till Nurk gets back?) and his decision making is usually on point. I am still impressed with his strength and conditioning after sitting out so long. I think he likes it here, and I for one am hoping he gets that turn around jumper going, and retires a TrailBlazer.
Yea he’s been garbage. Makes sense though he was running on pure fumes in the beginning with a chip on his shoulder looks like he settled in now tho
He is garbage. A couple of notches above Hezonja but with more appealing form. Maybe everyone knows this already or maybe not... but Amare Stoudamire basically said, without actually naming names, that Melo wasn’t happy at all with the Linsanity phenomenon in New York. Meaning he stole the show from Melo and Melo didn’t like it. Who the hell wants that kind of teammate. But that’s beside the point. He’s no good.
That was like 8 years ago, not sure how it's relevant to who he is today as a teammate. He's been nothing but enthusiastic and supportive of Dame's leadership. That said, he's getting a lot of good looks from midrange and missing easy ones. I think he'll turn it around and that is going to be the deciding factor of whether or not the Blazers can get in the playoffs.
hmmmm last year, considering his TS% and efficiency, I thought Turner's usage rate was too high. Too many empty possessions because he couldn't shoot well. Melo doesn't shoot any better, yet his usage is 37% higher than Turner's. Making that worse is that Turner was 3.4 times more likely to get an assist
Evan Turner also played better defense. Turner was overrated defensively, but still much better than Anthony. Anthony is just a famous name. If a no-name were providing exactly the same production/defense as Anthony, that person would be getting pilloried on this forum. Anthony is a Hall of Famer who's completely washed up.
Gee. Another shit thread fucking trashing on our players. This place has gotten to be so awesome.....
I dont like Melo as a starting PF playing a lot of minutes. I think his role should be more of a 6th-7th man type. That said, I wS impressed with a couple things, he seems to have gelled well with the team and has been exceptionally professional, also the conditioning he was in when he got here, he did an amazing job of keeping his body ready to play.
You obviously missed my point. Do this- look over all of the thread titles for the last month. Two months. "Trade this person!". "Fire that person!". This place has become a Debbie Downer, and Negative Nancy site. Go look. Prove me wrong. As fucked up as it is, I have rather been enjoying Reddit.
