Not all of us give up so easily. We also have 4 starters including our best player on the bench so the challenge is much greater but just like the players lead by Lillard I am still in full support of them achieving their best considering the circumstances.

You mean you don't think putting him in the game then pulling him 40 seconds later because he missed a shot is good ?

because we are lacking ball handlers with Lillard out.

Comparing him to Joel Embiid, Zach Collins or Jusuf Nurkic shows how much you over value his 165lb. frame.
If this Blazer team, was as assembled, as it was supposed to be, I would honestly believe most in here never would have heard of the kid.
Again...I enjoy his hustle....but knowing his name and clamoring for him to play more is nothing more than a result of a disasterous season.

Its soooo annoying. He does it all the time too. Like last year I knew he would bench Layman as soon as he ran into some adversity. And then he plays vets way past their expiration date. I bet if Bazemore and Tolliver were here they’d still be in the rotation.

The last time I used that same line was with Trent. And Skal was fine.

Absolutely. Stotts prefers bad-to-mediocre predictability to the inherent unpredictability of young players. Many coaches seem to have this written right into their genetic code.

It’s true, especially older coaches. Pop is an exception. Probably why he’s the best. Younger coaches tend to be a little more liberal as well. Stevens is a good example. He’s not afraid to play an unproven guy. And it’s not like Stotts doesn’t have job security either, so there’s no excuse.

Simons, Trent, Little, Gabriel...all seem pretty young to me. I’m sure that Gabriel and probably Little wouldn’t be playing if Stotts had more experienced guys available, but of all the things people ding Stotts for, this year not playing young guys isn’t one of the more plausible ones.

So how many minutes do you want Gabriel and Little to play per game?

Little I'd like to see around 20-25 at this point. Gabriel I have no idea...

    @Scalma .
    Please answer this honestly.
Do you really believe it even matters?
Other than Dame, Cj, Nurk, Rodney, Zach, Trent, Ariza, Melo, Whiteside and Ant..
Does it really matter in the long term?

Last game Mario averaged 2.05 seconds per touches (less than CJ, Ant, GT, Melo, and Ariza) with 0.64 dribbles per touches (less than CJ, Ant, GT, Melo, Ariza, Little and barely more than Gabriel)

But yes, I'm sure he provided some much need ball handling.

The only balls Mario handled last night was Stotts' so he could get playing time

Last night, 29 for Trent & 21 for Simons.

I’m being as bright as my poor little brain will allow.

Ok but this thread isn’t really about Trent and Simons. And if everyone were healthy Trent wouldn’t even be playing.
