Is this a precedent for executive privilege? Because if it is, I would hate to be Mr. Trump right about now.
The coming years will be so terrifying and interesting... So many new precedents about the power of the President (to basically do whatever the heck he or she wants) have been set. Case after case, and drudging up of everything you may have ever said or done, I do at times think that theirs been sort of a "witch-hunt" mentality with Trump (not saying at all he's innocent or has been innocent), but the politics of all this is like daily setting an all-time low. I have no idea why anyone would want to be a president or a politician at all. I'm not a fan of Hillary I even think there is a decent chance she did or has done some shady as heck stuff, but my goodness I wish we could just let it die... They didn't find anything move on... Maybe instead of tearing down political opponents, we should try to actually improve the country for once...
Certainly, as she destroyed over 30,000 that were to be investigated as evidence, against court orders, a felony of epic proportions. She, and the FBI, and the DOJ, and the CIA, have been violating the FOIA for over 5 years now in refusing to supply subpoenaed evidence being sought for several court cases involving FBI personnel and Obama's State Dept in general for election interference, spying on Americans and production of false documents to subvert a Presidential candidate's campaign.
Oh, it began much, much earlier. She was killing people by the dozens as President of the Wellesley College Young Republicans. Of course, once she met Bill, the killings increased. Bonnie had met her Clyde. barfo
A felony that the deep state has prevented from incurring even indictments. Just finishing your thought. Kind of humorous, isn't it?
I might be able to find time to become outraged, if everyone held their own party to the same moral standards that they hold the opposing party to.
I was a democrat when she and Bill run over many a person to get what they wanted. Have a retired police officer relative from Little Rock that says Hillary was ruthless and even cruel to many, its wild to she still has a deceived fan club, just like Trump. It doesn't matter what party there are those that will do what ever to gain or keep power. Im not a Bernie fan but Hillary burnt him big time in 2016 and she would have done whatever to get what she wanted.
It's amazing he's still alive. He must have an incredible security detail. Imagine living with the knowledge that every bite of food could be poisoned, every strange smell could be toxic gas, every noise in the night might be assassins. Could easily drive a man mad. barfo
How do you feel about Trump using the Presidency to enrich himself, like having foreign dignitaries stay at his hotels, or charging his Secret Service (who are forced to be with him) jacked-up prices (paid by the tax payers) to stay at his resort during his many visits to them? Is that a bad thing? Or is the answer "But abortion"?
To be fair he has said a lot of other things he likes about Trump. He isnt the only one responsible for making every thread need to be aborted.
Well, personally, I've concluded that all Presidents throughout time have made backroom deals, and otherwise enhanced their personal lives. Some known about, some not. So, therefore, I'm left to look at pure policy and base my final judgement on that.
I guess that's a convenient position once we turn to Trump overtly making money off being the President. I guess you view Trump as crooked, too, as per the image you posted of Harry Truman's (paraphrased) quote?
