I think there is a fair chance that in some areas of the country games will be played in empty arenas to a TV audience only before the season is over.

Good. Marcus Camby made the the backhanded high 5 a thing during his tenure here. Wish more players would incorporate that, especially when you have guys like Steve Nash constantly licking his fingers before dribbling the ball.

This is very good idea. I'm not to much into this panic shit, but I'm not going to sign any autographs until futher notice. Fuck it. At least I can do something.

You know, if people would just use their tongues to clean themselves like we dogs do, none of this would be an issue. Right @SlyPokerDog ?

March Madness without fans? NCAA considers empty arenas for basketball tournaments amid coronavirus fears
    • The NCAA is not ruling out the possibility of holding the popular Division I men's basketball tournament in empty arenas amid fears of a coronavirus outbreak
    • An advocacy group for college athletes has urged the NCAA to consider holding all of its winter sports championships without fans, including March Madness
    • Division I men's basketball tournament games would likely still be televised
    • The virus has sickened more than 92,000 people and killed 3,100 worldwide, mostly in China. Nine people have died in the US, all in Washington state
    • Stanford and Chicago State's athletic departments have cancelled games due to the coronavirus. The virus cancellations are believed to be the first in the US
    • The NCAA generates nearly $1 billion a year, mostly during the men's basketball tournament through media rights fees, corporate sponsorships and ticket sales

And smart. I don't think some people realize how bad this is because they just see the 3% mortality rate. If even 10% of the US population contract it, that's nearly 1 million people dead in the US alone. Controlling the spread is key.

What about infected players? I think that they ought to use a disinfectant wipe on the ball before passing; maybe even between dribbles. Might pick virus up off the floor.

There seems to be no shortage of deep cleaning "cannons" worldwide (where do they all get stored between emergencies?)...maybe adapt that idea to arenas and have a steady mist of sanitizer coming from the rafters? It would be like celebratory confetti all game long. Come to think of it, I may fill up the wiper reservoirs on all my vehicles with Lysol. Everyone on the road behind me will thank me.

@SlyPokerDog I received my first email about the virus from the Olympic Committee. Letting us know all the different options for us working over there this summer. One of them is NO fans allowed to any events. We will be broadcasting the hoop games with NO fans in the stands. Closest thing I've ever done to that is some Oregon State games back in the day where there was more people selling popcorn, than people there to watch the game!

If they're looking for people to step in for the players to accept the gold medal please give them my name.

Unless there's a drastic change, I don't see any way they let the Olympics actually happen.

I wonder how they would handle postponment. Would simply moving to 2021 work?
