She commits political suicide if she endorses Bernard! Thats what killed her in the primaries, holding onto his coat pockets.... bad move
I don't necessarily think their two worlds jive too well. She's more realistic in her goals compared to Bernie.
I guess all I was saying is, if she lends her backing (delegates?) to Biden, then I believe this thing is as over as the Blazers' season. Conversely, if she lends her backing to Bernie, then there may be a race...and, potentially, Bernie even becoming the nominee. Am I off in that thinking?
Perhaps that's why she would be a good choice. He would still have his reach for the sky mentality, and she could provide and even help facilitate the more realistic option for the goal he's seeking to achieve.
I don't think Warren's endorsement would constitute that large a swing. It could help Biden or Sanders on the margins, but I don't think it would either lock up the nomination for Biden (assuming it already isn't) or help push Sanders back into either front-runner status or to the victory. The biggest benefit for Sanders from Warren's dropping out is fewer votes split between them--assuming any great number of potential Sanders voters were even voting for her. That isn't clear--the divisions among voters aren't simply "liberals vs. moderates." Sanders was appealing, among white voters (which is where Warren was strongest), to voters without a college degree. Warren to voters with a college degree. It's not all a given that those white voters with a degree will now jump to Sanders--many of them may be moderates who switch to Biden.
I can anecdotally confirm this - I am a white voter with a college degree or three. Between Biden, Bernie, and Warren, I'm a Warren voter. Between Biden and Bernie, I'm a Biden voter. barfo
Well, we end up in the same place anyway. I never understood the Warren appeal, but to each their own.
Ah, good. Thanks for the update, as always. That said, I've always maintained you tend to see things one-sighted...so to speak. (Sorry.....pirate talk)
Either would be a good choice. Klobuchar would be the better fit, as she would cement the mid east/ west vote. Elizabeth would be a kick ass VP though too. I hope he picks one of them.
