Not a movie, but the Spanish League website is showing entire "classic" games, which right now is a Baby Ricky Rubio vs. Young Marc Gasol.
"Whiplash" made me then think of "Whip it"--which is (I believe) a roller derby movie. I think that counts.
Not anymore, they've just cancelled the rest of the series. https://nbl.com.au/news/remaining-nbl-grand-final-series-games-cancelled
Cast Away--I haven't seen it, but I hear it's about a man dealing with his volley ball addiction while in isolation. Seems like a perfect choice for the current times.
Turns out Sydney pulled out of the series, and refused all suggested options of completing the series. Perth was willing to play, and is now demanding they be name champions. On another note, the Australian Football League will announce today whether their season will start tomorrow as scheduled. So there may still be some sport on.
I cant believe you guys..how the fuck did we get to page 4 without a mention of Major League??? Best sports movie ever and its not even close..
Perth has been awarded the Championship. https://nbl.com.au/news/perth-wildcats-crowned-nbl20-champions
There's a great little film I saw recently where a man must decide if he wants to continue on with his passion for running, or let his unsupportive family and community drag him down. I think he made the right choice. The part where all the people come out to join him in the end is the best. Here's a clip.
