Luckily, I'm well stcked. Was thinking about a trip to Ft. Lewis where I can get liquor with no Federal or state tax. Sadly Ft. Lewis doesn't carry some of my favorite expensive liquor. For the more expensive stuff I've been relying on trips to Canada or overseas and trips to Nevada. I don't get to go to any of those places anymore but not to worry. I was planning on downing the rest of my liquor should I get a terminal case of Covid19 coronavirus. Anyone want to join me? Of course, you'd have to sing dirge songs and toast profusely.

Wishy washy directions will get people killed.

a part of the population is just treating this like extra free vacation days when they should be staying at home.

They don't even have to be surgical quality. My wife makes me wear these thin gloves that she buys in bulk They're almost like wearing saran wrap with fingers.
My wife, if it's even the slightest bit cold outside she makes me wear a hat and a winter coat even just to get back and forth to the car. Sometimes I call her 'mom'.

I hope so. All of the imbeciles who went to the coast or out the gorge last weekend certainly didn't get the message that this is serious.

I know that this graph has been posted here before, but it's good to check it out again. Oregon doing what we've been doing ends up exceeding hospital capacity by mid-April and is Italy a month later, with an estimated 64,000 deaths. Three months of shelter in place keeps us well within capacity and around 2,000 deaths. Still awful, but drastically less awful than status quo.

    GREAT!!!

I'm glad some places are doing this. I went to 4 different grocery stores trying to find TP for my mom on Saturday and they were all madhouses with most of the people not coming close to adhering to social distancing.

In line at the bank I saw a young adult go up to an older lady in front of me give her a big hug from behind and said "I haven't seen you in forever!" Then there was a family behind me and this other lady came right up to them and gently pushed one of their kids out of the way to read a sign on the bank wall and then proceeded to apologize while tapping all 4 members of the family.

A lot of people don't care about social distancing.

Oh wonderful, our Governor isn't taking questions at this time. How is this order being brought to everyone? I only found out it was official because of @SlyPokerDog's post. Why aren't there statewide phone alerts, emergency broadcasts, etc?

How is this being enforced? What course of action do employers have against companies that still require them to go to work and won't follow the order?

What are people like my mom supposed to do? She works for Fred Meyer but is 70 years old and has other issues that put her at high risk. Should she be able to stay home or can Fred Meyer hold her job over her head since she isn't sick.

While Governor Brown was playing "cool parent" she should have been formulating a comprehensive plan that covered all of this stuff.

I had already made the decision to shut down my store starting today BUT that order doesn't make it clear at all whether I actually have to or not.

You can't arrest or fine all of them though.

I went grocery shopping this morning. The Winco I go to was letting only 10 people in at a time, I was #9. I didn't ask what the interval between groups of 10 was. I was able to find mayocoba beans and lentils that I wasn't able to find last week. That made me feel better. I could have also gotten toilet paper if I had needed it. I wore my mask and tried to keep a distance in the line up the middle of the store to wait to checkout. Everything went well. I was amazed that so many people still aren't wearing masks.

Oh joy. Thank you governor Brown. I don't drink anymore but I need my smokable medication!
