    I'm not attacking @SlyPokerDog at all, I hope he understands that.
    Almost scarier than the virus to me is how much propaganda is going on right now and how much everyone being home has created a captive audience. It is just crazy that we're basically all just left to believe whatever numbers we want, to basically turn on the news and it's almost entirely one side or the other trying to politicize all that's going on. Who the heck do we trust...? The media, by and large, seem to be doing their best to tell the side of the story they like. We can't trust our government or the government agencies numbers, we can't trust really anything. We are all kind of left just trying to make sense of what's obviously a big deal and hope we get it right when piecing together the full story is almost impossible. They're just pitting us against each other to suit their needs.

    Not citing your post at all but I think we're probably all guilty of maybe reading a little bit too many articles...and much of it is biased, sensationalized, inaccurate, frantic, etc.,...and speaking strictly for myself, I'm trying to back off a bit from watching too many media reports. because it can get very confusing.

    I'm not getting where you guys are seeing that article isn't being fair.

    Here is what it is saying about the drug:

    The unproven claim that an antimalarial drug can cure coronavirus - called a 'game-changer' and a 'gift from God' by Donald Trump - has been promoted by a crypto-currency lawyer who has made a string of bogus claims, DailyMail.com can reveal.​

    That is true. It's being tested as a treatment but not a cure. That's not bashing the drug.

    The anti-malaria drug is now the subject of series of clinical trials, including in New York, where the state received 10,000 doses.​

    Again true. That statement is not bashing the drug and shows that it is being tested to see its effectiveness as a treatment.

    It has been praised by Trump repeatedly - but the first time he did, at the White House last Friday, epidemiologist Tony Fauci stepped in to warn it was not scientifically proven to be effective and safe. ​

    Again true and accurate.

    Again, I'm not reading that article as bashing the drug.

    What the article is exposing is someone, who does not have a medical background, is claiming that the drug is a cure.

    Then the article goes on in depth supporting that claim.

    Also Fox News and the Daily Mail are both on the same side of the political spectrum and the editor of the Daily Mail is the winner of the first Celebrity Apprentice.

    The issue for me is that it gives the impression that that dweeb was the source that Trump was relying on when, in fact, there were credible sources that were reporting it. It reflects poorly on Fox that they used that guy as a source. It reflects poorly on Trump that he presented it as a game-changer when it hasn’t been tested. That said, nothing I’ve seen supports the notion that Trump relied on this report at all. It’s far more likely, IMO, that he was briefed on it as a potential treatment and then ran with it much farther than he should have.
