You think I should’ve started a new thread?

 

I feel like it comes off as propaganda right from the title. It brings Trump into it as clickbait. Trump isnt responsible for how, “legit”, the people are who claim to support something he believes is good. He didnt just randomly stumble on their cryptosite and go hey that looks good - well hopefully... I think it just seems to drag Trump and all that into it for no real good reason.

Notice the title wasnt, “Drug being tested by Japanese is also being supported by scammy crypto-lawyer”.

Im not at all defending Trump you know my feelings, at least what Ive posted lol. Im just saying it comes off as propaganda to me, maybe thats not the right word, “clickbait” may be a better way to describe it.

My point following that was just I cant believe how much “information” is being passed around, and when you look at it in totality its not possible for it all to be true. (Just talking about the Corona-virus and COVID19), there is sooooo much crap being flung around and Im finding it harder and harder to Trust anything I see because all this crap just isnt adding up. It would be great if we had a trustworthy government, or the media or heck the scientists, but opinions and numbers and all that is so all over the place I think you can drive yourself nuts with this... In minutes you can find supposed experts saying this is like comet hitting the earth dinosaur extinction level event to, yup just go on as usual but maybe stand a couple feet apart now.

 

I appreciate the man's opinion. I think he is highly regarded and respected. That means something to me.

So your issue is tweets?

 

Trump tweets anything that supports anything he says. Still doesn’t mean that the guy is the primary source of Trump’s knowledge about the drug.

The last line of the quote you gave doesn’t seem to me to track with fact about the French scientist who is the primary source on this. From the link I gave above:

“The possible treatment has been heavily promoted by Professor Didier Raoult (above) a microbiologist based in Marseille who specialises in the study of infectious diseases.

Professor Raoult reported that after treating 24 patients for six days with Plaquenil, the virus had disappeared in all but a quarter of them. The research has not yet been peer reviewed and published.

He told French media over the weekend: "I am convinced that in the end everyone will use this treatment. It's just a matter of time before people will accept it and say, this is what we have to do."

That seems pretty consistent with the rosy portrait Trump painted.

Am I a believer? Nope. Am I a Trump supporter? Heaven forbid. I am just fed up with the half truths an crap being thrown around about this for political gain. I am absolutely NOT saying that was your intent, but that article pissed me off. Trump does a fine job of coming across as an idiot. He doesn’t need any help from these kinds of articles.

 

You do understand my point though? Its not like they named that article by accident. I also noted earlier that Japanese scientists were talking about the use of that drug before those guys were.
Also the amount of confusing and conflicting information out there is just crazy and while Im not saying, “its the media!!! They dont want Trump re-elected” like Trump is, I do think their is a lot of politics and propaganda going on. Honestly Trump is a HUGE part of it, why else would he need to have a trump rally disguised as a press conference every day?
