Been awhile but I've been there. Even before this virus thing, I avoid going anywhere near Atlanta...it's nuts trying to navigate traffic up there. To give you an idea of how far out in the country we live, we're 12 miles from the nearest convenience store, which I suppose, makes it "an inconvenience store".
Atlanta was crazy when I lived there 55 years ago. I remember that we bought beer in one country, drove through a dry county on the way home and arrived home in a wet county. Insane. My father was working as a bricklayer bricking up houses in a development. One day we had to stop by to perform some errand. We knocked on the door and the owner came to the door. During the small talk the owner disclosed that he was an electrical engineer. My dad replied that his son was studying electrical engineering in his first year of college. The guy took one look at me in my dirty clothes and you could see a look across his face as if he wanted to say, "oh, sure he is." in a very condescending way. Well, fuck him, I got both my degree and later earned a professional license which I doubt he ever achieved.
Ha !...cool story. Yeah, the easiest way to get me to do something is to either tell me not to do it or tell me it cannot be done...I'm one stubborn mofo, always have been.
"Banjos"?...ummm, you're the one who lives in NASHVILLE. That "petard" thingy rears its ugly head again,
You know what I found interesting was that there was a music compilation from Portland musicians and about 1/4th of them seemed to be drummers. Someone else posted one from france it was like 3/4ths violinists and cellos.
Uhhm, you do realize that movie was filmed in Georgia. Right. Don't you live in Georgia? As far as Nashville is concerned, it's quite a cosmopolitan city. You should check it out sometime.
what's funny is that abm is dissing on you for living in Georgia when his user name is Atlanta Blazer Man and he had lived in Georgia. You can't make this stuff up.
What movie?...you never mentioned a movie, all you said was "banjo"...you made yet another bad post and it blew up on you again. ... and FYI, I also lived in Tennessee, my best friend is from Tennessee, what's your point?...you're just trying to stir some shit up again and if that's what you really want, I'll certainly oblige...otherwise, just let it go.
He keeps stepping on his dick...he says things and when questioned, he predictably whines about being picked on, and eventually when the mods ask him to cool it he still protests, then capitulates and promises to play nice from now on....which only lasts for a day or two.
Indeed. I lived there for 12 years. Atlanta was fine, but outside of the 285 circle? Banjo city. Ya can't make this stuff up.
My two middle kids need this. Except they'd probably just use it as an excuse to say, "sister won't leave me alone"... lol
