Again, that’s your observation. I guess we will find out in the polls in November. I’m willing to bet big money Trump wins by a landslide using all the same meta that was used in 2016. It’s not even close.

No one, until you. brought Trump's name up concerning this particular topic. Yet you felt the need to.

I was being preemptive for some people, and just getting ahead of the curve.

    I apologize.

How does that compare to the virus?...I can understand the point you're trying to make but IMO, that wasn't the best way to prove it.

The comparison is that there is risk of death every time you drive. Just as there is always risk to be infected by a virus. Would it be better if I used an influenza infection?

This is a ridiculous false equivalence.

24000 Americans have died. 600000 have tested positive, for a mortality rate of 4%.

As per your analogy of driving on the roads now == having an infection, 4 out of every 100 drivers are not being killed every time they set out on the roads.

It doesn't. We have refuted it a million times in this thread alone.

Was your mother able to find a test? Does it not bug you that it wasn't readily available?

Wait, so thousands dying at a lower mortality rate doesn’t compare to thousands dying from a higher mortality rate? And, I’m pretty sure most in here agree that we haven’t tested enough. Also, there is reported 30-50% of asymptomatic infected that isn’t documented (I.e. Dr. Fauci’s statement on a previous briefing).

edit: article to support the asymptomatic making it hard to test. https://www.infectioncontroltoday.com/covid-19/asymptomatic-carriers-covid-19-make-it-tough-target

And that is the point. Unless we have tested everyone or a close representation of the true overall population, there is NO WAY to know the true R0 or the mortality rate. We all are smart enough to know it isn't 4%. But is it 0.1% or 0.5%? It matters that we know the true number.

And whose fault is it that tests are not more readily available?

The 4 percent is bullshit and everyone knows it.

We can blame the Trump Admin for your fancy. It’s all moot since this pandemic has exposed every country and their inability to test properly.

I have seen numbers not even close to what you are posting. I wouldn't count your eggs before they hatch. trump won because nobody knew what kind of politician he would be. Now everyone knows and majority of people aren't happy. Of course you always have voter suppression and out of country interference on your side,

It does bug me. But I'm not going to look at irrational reasoning as an excuse to point fingers.

If I wanted to point fingers I would go back to previous admins that didn't start a stock pile of medical/emergency supplies years ago when it was evident we would be in a serious shortage, should something like this actually happen.

But i'm not going to point fingers, because I do not believe the government and the President have that power. Sometimes shit happens and it sucks for everyone. Everyone.

Regarding an actual test for this virus. I have no proof, guarantee, or even belief that, lets say Trump closed things quicker, that would have provided the ability for my mother to be tested. Furthermore, I find it irrational to even state otherwise as a fact. (not saying you are)

There is no proof my mother would have been tested if things were done differently.

Ill blame Trump for not trying to be more inclusive in his speeches. Ill blame Trump for not trying to kill the continual divide in this country, as I believe a President is a figure we look to for solidarity and leadership.

I wont blame Trump for something as massively out of his control overall. Human behavior is to explore. Since the beginning of time.

I also don't blame Trump for all the idiots who still socialized after being advised not to.

I have to go back to my previous statement that the more we rely on the gov. the more we ar doomed to be disappointed and have a total system failure.

Gov. should be limited and we should rely on our selves more and try harder to do the right thing for ourselves and those who surround us rather than be fixated on things out of our control.

You are a model individual people should look up to and I understand your emotions being on the front line. I just don't think they are impartial emotions is all.

Now Trump's trying to start a fight with the governor's because he wants to have the power.
