The corona virus doesn't come equipped with crumple zones, seat belts, air bags, etc.,...and auto accidents don't kill older people and those with underlying conditions at a much higher rate as compared to more healthy people.

And IMO, the flu and the corona virus aren't really comparable either.

 

Okay if you don’t like that analogy, I will use the flu. The same principal applies.

1.) The flu kills
2.) Reasonable mitigation and safety can limit the chance of the flu killing.
3.) If I chose not to work, go out in public or send my kids to school by sacrificing the ability to survive from other risks, it better be an extremely high risk of dying.

Is that better?

Presented frame work but no specifics other than increase testing and tracking. A lot of generalities and zero timelines or criteria.

You are absolutely right. There were many “conservatives” that held their nose and voted for Trump.

This election is much harder for Democrats than 2016 imo because I believe independent voters had much higher confidence that Hillary would run the country than the current group that doesn’t have that confidence in Biden.

Once we start having debates, I suspect that’s when you will start seeing Trump pull away from Biden. He doesn’t have the mental fortitude to go toe to toe with Trump (again, my opinion).
