    Sensationalism

I can pull all sorts of videos from Bernie supporters that still believe they were disenfranchised. There is division today from the AOC group to Pelosi.

There is also record that Trump actually accomplished what the Republican voters worried about. Tax laws, deregulation, trade deals, building the border wall (even with major resistance from the Democrats), Judges and rebuilding of the military. There was still a large number of people that hated Trump back in 2016. His unfavorables were much higher than they are currently.

Seems his polling has been quite good in the rust belt states, but there hasn't been current polling on this matter.

This is probably the one thing I can agree on. Biden does have that "Regular Joe" persona. Is it enough?

That's makes no sense either, I mean how can you logically conduct a poll with those parameters ? And how can it therefore be logically used to make Trump to look more preferable than Biden?

How doesn't it make sense. Trump's unfavorables were much higher than they were today in Nov. 2016 yet he won the Presidency.

Enthusiasm is a marker for supporters to go out of their way to volunteer, donate, get friends out to vote and spread the word. I think the polling is the feeling of not wanting Trump in office, but not excited enough to do the work to get him out.

He won the presidency only because he was the only one on the ballot not namedHillary fucking Clinton.

And I'll answer your first question as did in my previous post; " how can you logically conduct a poll with those parameters ?"

actually his favorability rating has hardly moved since he took office. Still in the mid to low 40%. That's not enough to get him elected and he did lose the popular vote last time so his popularity wasn't very good over all.

also seems trump is lagging behind many of the world leaders and their respective approval ratings.

Furious Trump hints at withholding coronavirus aid from 'mutinous' governors after NY's Cuomo calls him schizophrenic for risking constitutional crisis by behaving like a 'king' and claiming total power to reopen country
    • Trump called any governor who resisted his 'total authority' a mutineer
    • President threatened to withhold coronavirus aid
    • 'A good old fashioned mutiny every now and then is an exciting and invigorating thing to watch, especially when the mutineers need so much from the Captain'
    • Trump tweet came after Andrew Cuomo called him 'schizophrenic' for claiming he has 'total authority' over the states to reopen the United States
    • 'It makes no sense. It is schizophrenic,' Cuomo told CNN
    • But he later said he wouldn't fight with Trump
    • 'The president will have no fight with me. I will not engage,' Cuomo said
    • New York governor said he would refuse an order from Trump to reopen his state and said he would take the matter to the courts to decide
    • 'We would have a constitutional challenge between the state and the federal government and that would go into the courts,' Cuomo said
    • He warned Trump could create a 'constitutional crisis'
    • 'The only way this situation gets worse is if the president creates a constitutional crisis,' Cuomo said on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe'
    • In a heated press conference inside the White House on Monday evening, Trump asserted that his office holds 'absolute power' over the states
    • 'The president of the United States calls the shots,' Trump said

At least Washington Oregon and California have implemented a plan and coalition to cooperate in the fight...it's where our focus should be....

A large percentage of Democrats supported someone other than Biden within the last couple of months. It takes time to get over the fact that your guy/gal didn't win and get enthusiastic about someone you didn't think was the best choice out of the 28 candidates.

That's part of it. Another part is that Trump's supporters tend to be fanatics. There are relatively few people who don't have a strong opinion about him one way or the other. Those that like him a lot are going to be enthusiastic about voting for him.

It doesn't matter as long as Biden voters vote for him, even if it is unenthusiastically. However, it does provide an opening for Trump, in that if he can convince the unexcited Biden voters to not vote, then he can win. And that is certainly the game plan, voter suppression is the number one tool in their toolbox. So we'll see. Didn't work too well in Wisconsin last week.
