If you can pick up yourself, it’s better for the businesses. The restaurants are at the mercy of a lot of these delivery services. It’s quite a racket because they get money from both the restaurant, delivery drivers and the service charge they sometimes tack on.

 

How expensive/bad for business would it be to have your own delivery services?

 

We were thinking about that, but we don’t have enough deliveries to justify having someone just doing deliveries.

I know nothing about the restaurant business other than TV shows (so nothing). Is it at all feasible to have an employee trained to do deliveries and when there are no deliveries have other functions they can serve?

Just got word that my employer is going to be asking everyone to start coming back into the office on Monday. We'll see what their official communication is when it comes out, but I think it's a bit too soon. How am I supposed to avoid people when I have to take the elevator up to the 15th floor. Stupid choice in my opinion, but alas, the Governor of the state I live in is an effing clown.
