. . . Why I'm skeptical about Reade's sexual assault claim against Biden: https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...ault-allegation-tara-reade-column/3046962001/ . . .
Obviously physical appearance isn't the only barometer to judge a woman's value...but good god almighty...It's a shame that she made such a poor life choices (both in the sense of abusing her body with unnecessary surgeries and also drugs and unhealthy dieting choices). If you look her now, or the most recent pictures I saw of her, she looks unhealthy, distant and much older than her actual age. I hope whatever the issue is, though, she's happy with herself.
Yep, that is not an attractive (or most importantly, healthy) look for someone in their early 40's. That's a body that has been starved, beaten, and abused. Take away the unnecessary plastic surgery, she just looks like she hasn't eaten healthily for a long time. Obviously that can be done multiple ways (way over-eating vs way under eating, etc). That is not a look of someone who is naturally skinny (like Calista Flockhart, she was naturally skinny). This is someone who has altered their body to the point where they're unrecognizable. Same with Lindsay Lohan. I'm sure there are examples of men who have done this (or in some cases, jacked up their bodies to the point of being unrecognizable). Hell, look at Michael Jackson, he altered his body so much he started to look alien, and it was obvious he was unhealthy and had an assortment of issues.
It doesn’t look like it was a drug problem. She had 2 botched plastic surgeries early on and she was too scared to go under the knife again to fix it. Here’s an article that talked about it. https://people.com/archive/tara-reid-the-truth-about-my-body-vol-70-no-19/
pretty sure i remember she battled, or is still battling, alcoholism and crap. What do you call it when you starve yourself? Haven't had my first cup of java yet. Lol. anorexia. it is sad. Then you look at other Hollywood celebs who still look 30 at 60. they obviously dont all use the same nutritionist and personal trainer!
Yep, they both have demons. Doesn't help that we put unrealistic standards of beauty on women. Also, doesn't help that people will look at someone struggling and think "you were so beautiful, why did you need to change" (I admit I've done that). The two women I mentioned (Tara and Lindsay) might not have seen themselves in the same way others do. To me, they were both physically very attractive, and seemed like they were good people. Of course, while both seem to have natural beauty, they might have been seeing their faults as emphasized or something. I don't know. It's easy for me to say they were 'attractive', etc. But I don't know them or what they're going through or what lead them down the path they went. Being happy with yourself, and mentally healthy, is far prettier than anything physical. As I alluded to earlier, hopefully both of them are at that place in their lives.
and thats really it. Some of us are self critical to a flaw or even to health damage. its a fine line between wanting to improve ones self and having that turn into a destructive obsession.
The New York Times editorial board is now calling for an open and transparent investigation by the DNC. Gee, that sounds familiar. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/01/opinion/biden-tara-reade.html
I’m going with the straight forward view that they want to be consistent with their position on women’s rights to be heard and to be as certain as possible that the candidate the Democrats put forward aligns with those views. If the investigation can’t corroborate Tara Reide’s allegations, Biden carries on with the nomination, otherwise they replace him.
