so, the UW IHME model finally discarded the assumption that every state would have stay-at-home-and social distancing policies thru August 4. Prior to today, the white house has been all over those models because they have had the low-ball death and new case numbers. Trump likes Covid happy-talk after all.

so then, the result was the model raised the Aug. 4 estimated death toll from 74,000 to 135,000

and of course, big surprise....the CDC which had those IHME models front and center on their Covid entry page....dropped them like a hot potato. Can't be realistic when trump wants to change the conversation to some mirage about the economy re-igniting

 

well, that would be good policy after using them to wipe your behind.

You can call it what you want. I think a group of people that have been marginalized and attacked by police or government have a second amendment right to protect themselves during protest. Is it intimidating? Yeah. Having armed protest resulted in a shoot out recently? No.

 

Disclaimer: I think the Armed Trump supporters storming the Capital in protest was stupid as shit. There was no evidence of threat by the police.

I listen to various doctors and scientist and hear different takes on much about the virus? Im not sure who to believe so I look at various stats and such but leave the scientific medical stuff to the professionals?
The attached article coincides with other statements Ive heard from doctors and Im not sure why they would be lying about such a deal?
I do understand when there are monetary incentives organizations will try and maximize their income.

Whats your take on this article? And I don't want to hear oh thats a left or right wing article.
