well sure.....you can grow a garden in containers....or join a community garden...and you can pay a local farmer to bring you whatever is in season weekly using food coops...….even if it's an obese elderly sailor you want for dinner

There are also urban rooftop gardens. I have seen some people in apartments using deck rail and hanging planters.

Some will go as far as using aeroponic vertical garden towers.

    There are options.

One of the reasons my wife elected to pull/roll hers over to other investments was so she/we could establish the kids as beneficiary's. Otherwise, only the surviving spouse would get an elected percentage and monthy amount, once that person dies, the State gets the pension.

    some serious Socialism here...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/proposal-2-000-per-month-171322001.html

"Similar to a House bill proposed in mid-April, the senators called for $2,000 cash payments to every American who earns less than $120,000. it would expand to $4,000 for married couples and also provided an extra $2,000 for each child up to three.'

Married couple with 3 kids gets 120k a year for doing nothing?

Luckily they will still need to work, because that is still lower middle class in LA.

Its a great capitalist country first, that can provide generous social programs to those in need and continue to build prosperity. Its never a socialist country first that can provide GENEROUS social programs and opportunities for prosperity. Look at Sweden they were able to implement generous social programs for option health and schooling only because they firstly were a very prosperous capitalist country, which allows citizens to pay the much higher tax.

So I guess you are saying that the USA is not great, and that's why we can't afford generous social programs.

    SAD!
