Dominoes are falling and there’s a good chance fans will be allowed everywhere by the time the nba starts up. Hard to make decisions based on theoreticals, but I guess they could always open the gates to Disneyworld lol. What’s the seating capacity at WWoS
I would think after many restarting games have been played and working well the NBA would explore selling a few fan tickets, maybe something such as that 10% capacity. If you space out all fans 10 feet from each other and require masks it shouldn't be any more risky than the grocery store or home depot. Would be quite the rare ticket to be able to see one of these games if theres only hundreds or a few thousand capacity.
I am going to scoop HCP on this one: The Ukrainian Premier League restarted Saturday but one game was called off when an unspecified number of soccer players and staff tested positive for the coronavirus. Agreed. They have been taking social distancing seriously over there and yet this happened. NBA doesn't seem to have any plan in place if, for example, half a team and a couple coaches tested positive. It seems they would need daily testing of a type that returns results within an hour.
So, is it going to be possible for a team (like the Blazers) to get a lottery pick AND win a championship this year?
This is going to get interesting. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...t-teams-want-greater-consideration-nba-return
Nothing’s going to get interesting. Silver has a plan and the Board of Governors will vote yes. Yes, the bad teams will have 8-9 months off but such is the problem during a global pandemic.
What I mean is Clay Bennett saying he wants all 30 teams to play isn't going to change anything so it's not "getting interesting." It's done.
Not really. This could impact a lot of things when the collective bargaining agreement comes up. The teams NOT invited back to play will be out of ALOT of money if I'm not mistaken. Tell me those 8 teams or so won't remember that when it's time to start voting on things. That unto itself makes this VERY interesting.
