How come that doesn't end with "Donald J Trump" and then a bunch of scribbles?

I didnt say i agreed with it. Just that I could see how he could have misguidingly got there. Conspiracy theories can be rooted in a little bit of common sense, but it doesnt make them true. Lol.

    I see where i mispoke.

I don't think @EL PRESIDENTE sending you a PM counts as "going around the internets." I'm just surprised he didn't mention his "sweet-ass katana."

I wonder if there was a 90 year old at the door to greet them.

I didn't sleep that night. Went to a Blazer game with OB. Saw the Blazers beat the Suns...well saw some of that game. I was paying a lot of attention to my phone and the election. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Went home and watched the final results come in around midnight (November 9th)...my birthday. Trump got elected on my birthday. Worst birthday ever.

I was at the game too. It was a surreal moment, you could totally tell most of the crowd wasn't into the game. and when it became obvious what was going to happen (Que the supporters), you could almost feel as if the life of the crowd went away.

Yeah, very surreal. I remember after the game. The crowd leaving was like we just got eliminated from the playoffs. It was in the air. A overwhelming dejection articulated with a bitter disbelief. Pennsylvania was still up in the air, but it was over and everyone knew. Just couldn't wrap our heads around it.

I still can't. I mean, intellectually I understand he won the electoral vote, but I just can't wrap my brain around how he is actually president. He was, and is, clearly the least qualified candidate ever run for president, let alone win...and that INCLUDES Marianne Williamson.

Oh man. I was with my dad at the game. He is a Republican and I made him vow not to discuss the election, not to look at our phones or anything like that during the game or at halftime. I assumed, like most, that Hillary would win in a landslide and I just didn't want him to be gloomy about it.

HOWEVER, after the game we walked to the Spirit of 77. On the walk I caught snippets from conversations around me. My dad hears them too and neither of us say a thing. It is clear something is wrong, but I'm thinking, they just haven't counted California...

Inside the bar, the electoral map is up on big screen and they HAVE counted California. The mood in the place is fucked. People are not happy. Except for my dad, of course, sipping his beer. My brother and a friend meet us and as the reality starts to dawn on all of us. I am dejected. "He's a successful businessman," my dad says. "Give him a chance." I'm in shock now staring at the screen.

My wife calls. I take the call outside. She is crying, the neighbor is crying, my daughter is crying. My friend, who before the election said he didn't care either way who won, is now sitting on the sidewalk drunk af talking to himself (lol). Back inside, strangers are hugging one another; grown men are sobbing. Man, it was surreal.

And on the way out, capping off the night, I found this on the sidewalk:

1.) Hillary ignored the midwest. She didn't campaign there. The blue collar voters there felt left out.

2.) A low turnout of black voters compared to the last two elections. Part of that was disenchantment with both candidates and part of it was voter suppression.

3.) A low turn out in young voters (a lot of pissed off Bernie supporters - instead of uniting the left by choosing Bernie or someone further to the left than her very moderate self, she chose boring ass predictable Tim Kaine as her running mate)

3.5) Hilary chose Tim Kaine as her running mate

4.) A low turn out in voters in general, likely because many did not likely Hillary or either choice for that matter and decided not to vote, thinking Hillary would win anyway.

5.) Trump brought out the crazys. His base, an awakened swath of white uneducated Americans, many of racist or other bigoted backgrounds were given a voice they had not had in sometime.

6.) A large number of people who were tired of 27 years of Clinton and Bush.

7.) Some people just wanted to see the country burn and the government collapse. Coughelprezcough

8.) Some thought it would funny/interesting to have a celebrity(sort of) as president. I mean he couldn't do worse than Arnold did in California right? Wrong.

My grandson experienced some racism just the other day as he had recently got a job working at Home Depot and a customer their called him a Negro and he proceeded to let his supervisor know and the supervisor blew him off by saying "I don;t know what to tell you and it's okay that you walked away. Havn't had a chance to talk to him yet, but he's a strong kid with a big heart.
