OT The Home Isolation Thread- What are you doing?

I’m doing what I need to do to keep from going nuts. So yeah, the store, Costco etc. We walk the dog at least twice a day (we have easy access to the Xerox and Mentor Graphics campuses.....which are awesome outdoor areas). But I’m still leery about being around people for too long. Too many of them don’t wear masks and/or think social distancing is obvious bullshit. I don’t deal with morons very well......Too, I’ve been struggling with some pretty intense cardiac issues the past 8 months and don’t need a case of this crud. That said, it appears that we (Wife and I) were exposed to the ‘rona in late February or early March. We think we even had some of the symptoms but it was so early in the event no testing was being done. I have a doctor’s checkup the end of next week and will ask to be tested. If I’ve already had the virus it would make me rest a little easier knowing I had it and was able to deal with it without a problem....

I'm staying home except for going to my thrice weekly dialysis at the VA hospital.

Probably. There’s 3 neighborhoods along the backside of both campuses and I live in the middle one. If she walks a dog then I’ve probably at least seen her.

Shirley and Reggie. We know them very well. We brought her her cherry tomato starts this year. She’s a wonderful lady and Reggie is a character. Small world (assuming that’s your mother in law....)

I'm taking a ton of guitar lessons online from masters who are also quarantined and bored as shit....Tom Bukovac a Nashville session guitarist who toured with John Fogerty and Joe Walsh is an amazing musical mentor....lovin' his stuff and well as Tim Pierce out of Los Angeles....great guitarists who've played on millions of recordings....TB has played sessions for 25 year in Nashville...you have to have chops for that shit....I've learned to play Ain't Misbehavin' by Fats Waller on guitar and now am working on Deep River Blues from Bryan Sutton's teaching....another Nashville acoustic session guy...it's a wonderful time to learn from youtube...these guys are all home now...even masters like Eric Johnson are teaching from home...the touring days are are hold for the foreseeable future..took my first Danny Gatton lesson last night for chicken pickin'...learned some cool stuff...that guy is amazing...those guys can make a guitar sound like a Hawaiian slack key pedal steel

 

I've been playing my guitar more lately too. Definitely more towards the beginner stage than you or obviously anyone you mentioned, but it's been a good way to pass the time all cooped up. Not quite back to where I was a few years back when I lived with a friend that had actual gigs and was teaching me stuff, but little by little.
