The Crystal Furs, my indie pop band, just released our new album! For ~$7 you can preorder a CD and get instant access to the album on streaming and download at any quality you want (even 24-bit WAV for you audiophiles out there). With influences including The Beach Boys and The Beatles, our sound might be something y’all might like.
Pardon the dumb question, who is the lead singer? The group sound has a the Go Go's/Belinda Carlisle/Jane Wiedlin vibe.
Steph Buchanan, the girl on the right side of our band portrait. And thanks! An early Bangles vibe was kind of a big influence for us.
Of course! Always love supporting musicians. However. Im not happy with the delay. Lol. I purchased a hard copy. wont ship until July 31st. What are you doing with all that interest your gonna make off me? LOL. I'm gonna have to spin it after @theprunetang 's disc and provide a side by side comparison. Congrats though on the serious. Its alot harder than most people think to actually get an album completely done. I'm STILL working on my first "non demo" Cd, complete with a UPC and what not.
the label does a print run to match the preorders (up to 125 copies; they like limited runs), but you do get instant access to the digital files at least! And yeah albums are fucking hard work! I mixed and mastered this one, which honestly took six weeks of grinding new skills to get done!
When things settle down a bit, Id love to get you out to my studio, pick your brain on mixing and mastering and what not.
I listened to Comeback Girls--excellent slice of indie pop. I've always loved guitar-driven pop and rock, and the wash of organs add a really nice and dynamic element. You folks are very talented!
Purchased. Thanks. But signed up for Bandcamp to listen and not really finding it. I’ll have to spend a minute figuring it out.
Nice jingle jangle pop song....the backing track reminds me a bit of a Northern English band called Teenaged Fanclub….well done! Any youtube videos subscription site?
Ahem, Teenage Fanclub. One of my favorite bands, arguably the progenitor of power pop (though some lump bands like Cheap Trick and such in there).
