Dustin Fucking Poirier is that dude. A problem for everyone at LW besides Khabib. Dan Hooker fought valiantly though, kudos to him for a very strong effort.
Poirier might be the most underrated and under appreciated fighter on the roster. If Khabib wasn't there, he'd be the champ. The dude is a fucking warrior and puts it on every time he fights. 18 UFC wins--wins over Holloway (twice), Alvarez, Gaethje, Pettis, and Hooker. Dude has a hell of a resume. Can't knock the losses to Conor and the vicious KO shot landed by Michael Johnson. Incredible fight on both sides; Hooker blew his load in the 2nd round and didn't look the same after that. Poirier turned it on in the 3rd and secured it in the 4th and 5th. Amazing fight.
I feel Poirier could put on a good fight with Conor a second time around. If Diamond survives the first round I see him subbing Conor in a second fight.
