But this does not mean that they like everything that Trump says or does. ABM, for example, places a high priority on the saving of fetuses from Abortion. He sees this, I presume, as some form of manslaughter. I wish he could weigh this with all the lives of people already born that Trump takes. I think he'd find a willing audience to listen to him plea for enhanced protection of fetuses in exchange for his listening to ways of saving the lives of people whom most of us consider to have been fetuses that actually survived long enough to be viable or at least have some sort of nervous system. I find it difficult to blame ABM for having a conscience about underdeveloped fetuses while I have a conscience for those that are developed. We are different but both of us have consciences and legitimate points for us to discuss.
Maybe some, maybe the ones here I dont know. I know people who, “support”, if were saying that’s synonymous for voted for, that would and have called him out for things he’s done. I know a few who have said they just wont vote, which is good for your (Im assuming), side of the aisle.
Support doesn't mean all out support. I wear suspenders with my suits. Sometimes the support they provide gives me wedgies and that's when I pull down on my shorts against the support of my necessary suspenders used to hold my pants up. I hope this puts it into terms you can relate to.
100% in alignment with this post. I was so apathetic ahout Joe and have repeatedly chided the Dem establishment for pulling the shit with Bernie. Desperately wanted change and reform in every facet of government. But with our existing 2 party platform, i'm forced to vote for anyone but trump. I'm also proudly in support of Joe because I'm not an immigrant hating racist with a 70 IQ.
I think it's more of the people who find ways to condone, and support, pretty much every stupid thing he's doing. They're in whole different bubble when it comes to how they support their candidates. If Biden starts throwing out code words for racists, starts doing some of the really idiotic and damaging shit that Trump does, people won't defend him. And even if they do defend him, it won't be the blind lock step that those Trump supporters do.
Here we are again old friend.Surrounded by the forces of the evil Mordred, trying to overthrow the good king, Arthur.
I dont support Joe, I wont be voting for Trump (wouldnt ever), I’m voting for Jacob Hornberger. I guess I hate immigrants and have a 70 IQ. Which Im not here to convince you otherwise. Least my IQ is still double my age for a little while, so I got that going for me.
I agree, the hardcore Trump supporters who make their logic look like pretzels, its a cultish personality. I had an aunt (she’s passed now), who was kind of similar except on the other end. She would only vote Democratic Women and that was it, nothing else about them mattered. Im not saying people cant call out ABM or El Prez or whatever other ‘Trump supporter’ they want too. Im not defending them or hardcore supporters Trump at all. I just personally find it funny when I see the comments here, has that ever led to a good conversation? Which admittedly Im not sure people are looking for, their looking to shame their enemies I guess? Anyways... I didnt expect that original comment to snowball into whatever this.
Hornberger wants to eliminate funding for most any federal projects, national parks, education, eliminate income tax, wants to turn education over to the free market. Free market health care. Repealing social security. Repealing welfare. My big issue with libertarians, or libertarian candidates rather, is it kind of makes the assumption we all start off from the same point. ANd then the "free market" is the same for everyone.
Exactly. It's intellectually dishonest to essentially say "Let's let everyone run their own race with no assistance or regulations" when some people start their race up to a mile ahead. IMO, Libertarianism sounds superficially reasonable and falls apart the moment you probe it at all.
Yup. Im not in alignment with everything he wants to do. I personally think the two party system is the crutch that keeps the US from walking forward at all and I wont ‘support’ either. He’s not going to win obviously. I’d rather have Bernie in his own third party and then maybe Id vote for him, though Im not at all a socialist / globalist look to the Government to fix all societies Ills, the two party system is broken and bought off by rich corporations and foreign countries.
I personally think socialism sounds superficially reasonable and falls apart when you probe at all, at least on the more extreme side. I think you need checks and balances, and some balance to things to make things go forward, I wouldnt support any “one” political ideology in its extreme’s.
Supporting someone with whom you disagree on some topics is understandable. Supporting someone who is trying to tear this nation apart by pitting races against each other is not OK. It’s not OK.
I mean it was never really very cool, those of us who never supported him had our obvious reasons for that... But at this point people who are "die hard" Trump supporters really have no excuse for supporting him. Like at this point all the EVIDENCE is out there!
I don't worry about what people are looking for or what's leading to a good conversation when it comes to our political culture at all.....I proudly take a stand and say the emperor has no clothes...when you have lived enough of life you should find it relatively easy to pinpoint logical reasons to distrust someone and sense dangerous behavior where it brews...taking a stand and supporting it doesn't mean you're creating enemies....it means you know who you are and you see problems that should be eliminated. Anyone who needs to be convinced Trump is an honest trustworthy person with America's diverse populations needs a priority just doesn't pay attention in my view...it's time for harsh words in face of harsh leadership....reasonable doubt worked about 3 years ago with Trump....barely..he's thrown that under the bus long ago, What I see often in the forum are people asking questions that they know will reap answers they disagree with...baiting. Those are common in silly threads
