Agree, unfortunately the Mayor Doesnt know how to lead his Police As hes the self proclaimed police commissioner too. He has done nothing in the last 2 mths to bring order back and he could, wonder why?

So, is it fair to say that Portland has basically become what Hong Kong has been over the past year? Constant protests and riots against a authoritarian leader who's not supposed to be controlling things there, yet is sending in troops to try to impose martial law.

No, it is not fair to say that.

Sure seems like it. But maybe we should split it between day and night. Sounds like the daytime is quieter.

It doesn’t matter how you split it. It’s not equivalent.

Why you all those bicycle helmets in your garage and what did you do with the children that were wearing them?

Day's are quieter for sure. Once the mayor empowers his police force to take on the vagrants and stop the property destruction the feds will leave, but this is not what the vagrants want, they like want to carry one. Its really to bad that their tandrums have taken the focus off the real cause.
I love it when there was a peaceful BLM protest community and it was well organized and effective. But if there had been a group waiting in wings to cause property damage and effect innocent people and business, even at age 69 I'd be there in support of our community police to kick them out.

No, the brats in Portland are not experiencing the same thing as people in Hong Kong. That is ridiculous.

rather than just make it a blanket no statement, maybe you can explain why it isn't similar.

My oldest daughter played softball and was playing in her summer ASA team and we were playing in a tournament in Salmon Creek which had a complex of about 4 or 5 fields arranged in a circular pattern back to back to back and softballs would be fouled into the seating areas from a field and it was pretty easy to have a ball hit you as you could be watching your game and a foul ball from another game could come your way. Well it was an afternoon game and a mom from our team was babysitting about 4 or 5 kids around 5-6 years old and she had them all wear bike helmets to protect them from errant foul balls. I thought it was pretty ingenious.

No, Portland rioters are just trying to burn the federal courthouse down for the sake of destruction.
