What a terribly narrow minded thing to say. I see you are comfortable with corporately led "grass roots" organizations that would keep civil rights progress contained in a nicely wrapped package with a bow on top, so as not to disturb your privelage. Again, America is defined by its failures as much as its successes. America is also defined by how it answers for those failures. Simply, pretending that those failures have resolved themselves or became absolved over the years, simply because time passed or some progress was made is short sighted and unjust.

No. You have repeated the same thing over and over again. You don't support BLM because the prospect of an all out civil rights movement scares you. It is easy to to look around and say you will go with an organization that kind of supports black lives as long as it absolves white people and the racist system that we live in. That way you can signal that you support black people, but hold onto so called values that were built on a house of lies. It is not enough to celebrate the few successes and pretend the failures didn't happen. As white men, it is our responsibility to call out and to own the past atrocities committed by the white men that came before us, by a declaration that has failed to value all life equally as it was intended. For we have benefited from a lopsided racist system, not inclusive to all men (and women) and therefore we are complicit.

Dude, you and I are very close in age. We went through this shit 50+ years ago. Why are we going through it again??? Because too many white people have no problem talking the talk.
