Dude, I would think as a musician that you would know that literally every sound we make is carried through the atmosphere as sonic waves. If I choose to poetically use the term "fly" to describe that process, that too should appeal to your artistic nature.

I understand what you're saying, but I guess it's harder to feel sympathy for someone who didn't make a mistake, but was purposely trying to flout "pandemic rules" and encouraging others to do so, too. When someone screws up, it's much easier to have sympathy than when they're being malicious and that's what bites them.

I feel more sympathy for his family.

Herman Cain quoting Pokemon in his suspension speech below (even after he was told it was from Pokemon he couldn't help but keep repeating it he loved it so much). Between this, the 9-9-9 Plan, the sexual harassment stuff that he cut off before it got rolling by quitting, and the slow smile ad, this guy was fucking memorable.

I understand what you're saying, but a death is still a "for whom the bell tolls" moment, no?

when a kid smashes his nuts making some youtube video, it's karma

when a guy who decides to run with the bulls gets gored, I think he deserved his fate

when an elephant 'trainer' who is cruel to elephants gets crushed by elephants, I say good riddance

Cain was willfully ignorant. He made a stupid choice, but it was the same choice millions of willfully ignorant make every day, and every single time that choice risks the lives of others. There are enough people saying RIP....I say rough justice

Your faith in Trump handed you your own ass.

    R.I.P.

(Edit: On a side note: Gotta hand it to them. Trump voters are literally dying for the cause.)

I think I mostly feel a sense of sadness that some people have issues that prevent them from understanding and joining collective action in emergencies, putting themselves and others in danger.

Ultimately, I think no one "chooses" to be stupid or evil. Even if you take the most common symbol of evil in our culture, Hitler--he wouldn't have chosen the life he led if he could have been a consciousness before birth selecting a life arc. No one would, it wasn't a happy life. Circumstances, brain chemistry, whatever other factors you want to include, lead to different human lives and choices. That's why I can't bring myself to hate other people.

Do political stuntmen in Portland deserve to get run over by buses when they stand in front of them?

I do wonder if this will make anyone change their behavior. It seems like it might have an impact larger than of of the 150k 'ordinary citizens' that have died.
