    Death valley makes more sense for the apocalypse , I guess - but I can understand the Salton Sea for a radioactive look-a-like visual effect (even tho the reason it looks like that is actually because of agriculture).

    FWIW - If you ever have a chance to visit the Salton Sea, it is well worth it. It certainly is an amazing place.

    I knew that, no worries.

    Some images from a recent trip to Bombay Beach. What the images can not capture is the stench of the dead fish and the agricultural waste that collects in that lake.

    A little soap, water and paint and that boat's ready for some serious fishing on the Salton sea. I'd go out with a bucket of herring and another bucket full of ice and some ice cold, cold Coors, maybe some unfiltered Camels.
