Look, the point of this entire thread is that the democratic viewership is low compared to, as an example, 2016. This, juxtaposed against the mantra of the left claiming this might be the most crucial election of our lifetime. I might expect that the dem masses might actually like to see what their leadership id trotting out.. https://reason.com/2020/08/20/americans-rightly-tune-out-to-democratic-national-convention/ The national conventions long ago stopped being a place where any real news might happen or where unscripted events would reveal something authentic or telling. The shift to online-only underscores the reality that the DNC and RNC are infomercials pitched to the parties' bases rather than events designed to reach out to uncommitted voters. The rest of us will simply have to bide our time for a more substantive discussion of the country's uncertain future. It's not clear when or whether we'll have presidential debates but if we do, they will certainly go a long way to settling questions about the mental acuity of Trump and Biden. And they might actually put some electricity into an election surprisingly devoid of energy despite the hyperbolic rhetoric of partisans declaring it (yet again!) as the most-important election in our lifetime.
you do realize there's a pandemic going on, right? I will, and you keep amusing (only) yourself with your act too.
im not saying that as much as im saying its some people condemning aNyone who doesn't agree or share thier viewpoint. Its arrogant and Condescending and the kicker is being called condescending in return. it makes taking some peoples opinions seriously, as laughable.
A pandemic is supposed to affect tv viewership? Hmmm Happy you're the authority on me. Oh, along with your buddy, cup.
Wasting hundreds of millions of dollars for a foregone conclusion of an election when we need money for hospitals, schools, first responders and service workers is really stupid if you ask me....that money should be protecting people while we're faced with a pandemic, not to buy time for arguments....I'm ready to vote tomorrow...I think the virtual campaign the dems trotted out was very efficient and streamlined....GOP should follow suit and not try to have a super bowl type convention....we need to start locking this country down and stop encouraging large public gatherings...the govt could learn alot from how the NBA is functioning right now....leave the crowds at home...I've said for decades our campaign should be like most countries...6 weeks long and vote...not 18-20 months...by the time candidates are elected they're burned out beginning of their first term. Trump has never stopped campaigning and he's fried from it..at some point they need to shut themselves in the oval office...and buckle down and work
Biden was pretty good tonight, I thought. A well written speech, well delivered. All in all, a fairly entertaining convention. Should be interesting to see how next week goes. barfo
Good to know the Democratic Party set their bar so high that being competitive wy America's Got Talent gives all if you shivers. Meanwhile POTUS TRUMP'S saving the world for 5 more years. #walkaway2020
I wasn't getting shivers over anything. I was posting factual and accurate information, something that is foreign to you.
Fox News raves Joe Biden's speech was 'enormously effective,' 'a home run' Joe Biden's presidential nomination acceptance speech is being hailed as a career best, even by his critics. And perhaps no praise was more surprising on Thursday night than that being directed at him on Fox News. Anchor Chris Wallace, who previously panned Kamala Harris' vice presidential nomination speech, called Biden's big moment "enormously effective." "Remember, Donald Trump has been talking for months about Joe Biden as mentally shot," Wallace went on. He added, "I thought that he blew a hole — a big hole — in that characterization. … Trump is gonna have to run against a candidate, not a caricature." Commentator Brit Hume also praised Biden's speech, calling it "very good" and "delivered with force and clarity." His colleague, Dana Perino shared the view, saying Biden "just hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth … He had pace, rhythm, energy, emotion, and delivery. I think if he looks back, he's got to say that was probably the best speech of his life." Karl Rove added that Biden's speech was an "excellent end" to the convention, calling the former VP's remarks "very good."
Yes, practically everyone in America is at home watching TV, but nobody tuned in for the Democratic Party rehashing their 3 years of blaming POTUS TRUMP for their decades-long failures across the board and their 3 years of trying to claim credit for POTUS TRUMP'S record breaking accomplishments for the benefit of all Americans. Repeating universally-debunked lies and pretending they have suddenly decided to do exactly the opposite of what they always done. Only an illiterate and willful idiot could possibly still vote for the Deep State Democratic Party puppet duo they're shoving down your throat. #walkaway2020
Obama's advisors.....zero indictments..zero convictions Trump's advisors.....seventy-three indictments...seventy-three convictions One administration has a clean record...the other...is a shit show, but you know that
As dull and uninspiring as tonight's game was, it still had more excitement than this worst-ever political convention. The Hidin' Biden campaign is already circling the drain.
Here's the baggage you get to take - a ton of felons and soon to be felons unless they get pardoned for their federal crimes.
