Why is it that the bigs who don’t get injured either get traded or leave Portland?

Can we replace him since he's got a season ending injury? Can we bring Ariza back now?

That would be huge, we definitely should be able to get someone in here. Unfortunately, if we do bring someone in I think the quarantine process won't allow them in games soon enough to help us with the Lakers. If we advance though that would be great.

With the 16th pick we need to draft a power forward or trade for a veteran. He obviously can't stay healthy and when he's not injured he's allways in foul trouble. That's just facts.

If you can re-sign Zach for $8mill per year for 4 years I think you have to go for it.

    where did I say that?

I really don't see how Hill, who was extremely durable for his 4 year college career and first 6 years in the NBA, but started to have injury issues at 28 is a good comp for 22 year old Zach. Hill broke down after about 600 games and 10 seasons. Zach might be breaking down after 200 games and a little over 2 seasons

i think perhaps seeing the market for free agent traditional big men should ultimately dictate.

Where did I say that's what you said? It was a question. He was able to recover and get healthy to finish his career after missing so many games as Hill had 4 consecutive seasons where he averaged less than 12 games per season (missed one complete season). I would call that injury prone. Collins has missed most of one season, He hardly has that much of a history. The point is, players who have a history of injuries can recover and can have a long career still but I see the likes of you and others essentially writing him off.

Is Ariza eligible? The answer to that question should tell you why Olshey isn't trying to talk Ariza into joining the team.

See, I think this is just something that is unfortunate. I know Zach hasn't been durable up to this point but I don't know if any of his injuries are symptomatic of him having an injury plagued career. Don't get me wrong, I'm not super attached to him but I don't think this thing with his ankle decreases his long term value to the team in any significant way.
