I love the old "there's a report" of blah blah blah. that's the easiest blanket bullshit statement ever.

It's got absolutely NOTHING to do with Cops being good or bad. It has everything to do with a culture that treats Black people differently. The cop that pulled Moe Harkless over was not a "Shitty" person. He has been programmed to respond a certain way to a Black man driving his car in a certain neighborhood. Maybe there was good reason? But i'm willing to bet my life there was absolutely NO "Suspicious Activity" in the area.

I am also willing to bet every Black person you ever come in contact with can tell you a story just like this if not 20 of them.

Are the cops who murder people "shitty" people? Was the guy who killed George Floyd a shitty person? I honestly don't know why you're so hung up on this. Nobody said that all cops are shitty people. You're picking the most bizarre hill to die on.

Oh I get it, you think I’m some asshole who supports police shooting black men? I’m not. It’s terrible, it’s wrong, and unacceptable. However, in regards to Mr. Blake, from all that I’ve seen, and read, this ain’t the person to become a martyr to halt the nation over. The excessive 7 rounds was wholly unnecessary and excessive, you won’t get an argument with me over that. However, when you have a warrant for your arrest for sexually assaulting a child, get tased, still continue to not comply, reach into your vehicle when directly being told not to, reportedly have a knife on you... I’m worn out, what do you want to happen? Tackle him and pin him down? Can’t do that after Floyd. Try to take him down? Have it possibly turn into a Rayshard Brooks scenario? It’s almost to the point where the only thing that I feel people will accept in any situation with police and black Americans with warrants/resisting arrest is absolutely nothing, just let them go.

I have no answers, I’m concerned for my child’s well being as she is black (mixed), I don’t want her to be discriminated against by law enforcement by any means. That shit clearly happens, but I also don’t think we should be accepting resisting arrest, fighting/killing police, and destroying communities that literally did nothing wrong. I’m just a sad, depressed, piece of shit...

Seems like not a good dude but not a child rapist.

The newspaper reported that a woman living in the 2800 block of 40th Street told police in May that Blake, her ex-boyfriend, had come into her home and taken her car keys and vehicle. She also said he had touched her sexually without consent.

There is no evidence that Blake is a "child rapist," as the Facebook post claims.

I did not say he was... I was simply posting what his warrants were for.

New leagues will mean even less money for players. If I remember correctly, there are only 13 black billionaires in the world, so, who is gonna be paying these athletes the 30+ mil per year they want?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If that's true, that goes a long way in pointing out a major problem in this world with systemic racism. But, to answer your question, there can be ownership teams...each team doesn't have to be bankrolled by one person.

I think it goes more in hand with how Africa as a continent is so poor and ravaged from infighting and genocides. It’s a ginormous continent with into the billions of people, and swaths of natural resources but because of the extraordinary amount of corruption and wars, not many can actually build a legitimate financial empire.

Yeah, no shit on the multiple owner things, but it’s an investment... a shaky one at that, as ad revenue will not be that strong, fanbases will be very split, and you’re almost guaranteed taking a loss while paying athletes who’s ability can diminish in an instant MASSIVE amounts of money.

The only reason the NBA can succeed is because they’re so entrenched into their communities (generations of fans) and are financed by massive billionaires and big advertising.

tl;dr it’s not fiscally possible to succeed.

Those big paydays in the NBA may be a thing of the past as well...same as the days of getting 20 million to make a movie for an actor....shit's not the same anymore and may not revert to what we've become accustomed to...the attraction is ownership and management...Melo discusses this on his Melo Monday interviews ..CJ has talked about it...Nelson George wrote a book about it using the Negro baseball leagues..(that's what they were called) as an example...when Jackie Robinson joined the white leagues, blacks lost ownership and control of their own leagues....it's not all about billionaires. Hell Ice Cube started a 3 on 3 league and he's no Bill Gates
