He did. Out in rural Washington County. Banks area. I think I remember a news story about his mansion broken into and ransacked several years ago.

Not sure there’s a former or current Blazer I’ve seen out in about in the city more than him. One year I saw him at the Brewfest on the waterfront. He was with a couple friends and aside from the typical ‘Uncle Cliffy’. Shouts he got from passerby’s he wasn’t being hounded by fans. Kind of allowed to go about like every other. I love that about Portland. It might be why so many former Blazers choose to stay.

North Plains is the city/town I recall most commonly used in articles. Or “near North Plains.”

If I remember correctly, it was dubbed the “Uncle Cliffy” but it later came out that the same dance already had a different name.

The Headband Man... Uncle Cliffy. He was nice to me on the couple of instances that I met him and that's all I've ever heard from anyone else. As far as basketball is concerned it is important to note that probably from 1995-1997 Cliff was the best Blazers player we had. He was for a couple season our team's leader and was such an important part of Clyde's Blazers as the sixth man and later a crucial starter. I would say Cliff was the bridge from Clyde to the teams that challenged the Lakers and Spurs for league supremacy (some call them Jail Blazers but I hate that). Cliff led us to the playoffs a couple of times. I'm really bummed out by his loss, he was really important to me from the time I was 11 until I was an adult. I hope his family is OK. The Blazers suffered a real loss today and so did we as Portland Trail Blazers fans. (I hadn't been online all day so this was the first I'd heard of it)

First Blazer I ever met. Back in his rookie year. Dude was so quiet and nice. He sealed the deal for me to be a life-long Blazer fan.
    RIP

Uncle Cliffy was always one of my favorites. Probably one of the most versatile Blazers ever. Could play 3, maybe 4, positions very well.

You must be talking about that dropped b0unce pass from Kersey in game six against the Lakers. We would have won the game and the series and the Western Conference title giving us home court advantage against Chicago in the finals.

I think he is talking about how his shooting really dropped off in the playoffs.
