I want a long, agile, versatile wing who can lock people down. Not another C.

Aldridge had the same awkwardness problems with Roy as with Lillard. Aldridge was the common factor.

I'm pretty sure Popovic and Duncan have bitch slapped some humble into him since Portland days. He plays under the rim now, blocks shots and rebounds.....he's not going to outrun anybody but he's got skills...just not...y'know...interview skills...

How's his three point shooting? He was supposed to be developing the three point shot which was pretty damn worthless when he was with Portland.

39% this season on three attempts per game.

just read this in a trade article Their 2021 first round pick is protected
However, the Spurs can’t make a deal with Portland just because it sounds good on paper. They need to do what’s right for their organization, which is why the Blazers need to be willing to negotiate. They’re not going to get a Hall of Famer for cheap — especially with the knowledge that he’s almost guaranteed to sign a team-friendly deal to end his career in the Rose City.

With that in mind, this trade is one in which both teams give up more than they’re comfortable with, but at the end of the day, it makes sense for both parties.

In return for sending LaMarcus Aldridge and a lottery-protected 2021 first-round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers, the San Antonio Spurs bring back a haul of Zach Collins, Nassir Little and Trevor Ariza.

I don’t even want LA, but I’d do that deal. I’d like to hold on to Little but it’s no deal breaker. With our luck Collins/Little turn into the Forward tandem for the Spurs everyone wants here, how maddening that would be.

when was the last time we traded for an allstar and a first round pick? Little and Collins have injury flags...Ariza has legal woes and an expensive contract...hell yeah I make that trade

I'd much rather have this wing, if he can hit 3's, than Aldridge.

Problem is those wings generally aren't available.

Neil probably has to get a vet wing with less defense or 3pt issues. Or an unproven one and hope he breaks out.
