The Nazi party had huge support in the US before
WWII amongst conservatives...they even held a rally in Madison Square Garden promoting Aryan supremacy attended by big money New Yorkers...Fred Trump was one...there were a lot of americans who were German sympathizers before that war....but sure...blame the dems for helping stop that genocide

You've heard wrong. It was Joe Bidens father who was personally responsible for bringing the Nazi's here along with Ted Cruz's dad.

Glad you could respond to my post. Probably yet another nothingburger in your estimation. Hence, the crickets. But, hey, I would expect nothing less from you.

Of course it wasn’t the intended context. The intended context was “look at these dead bodies and emotional music for a minute straight, Trump is bad”.

It only becomes interesting when one applies factual historical context.

The message I get is “Look at all these dead bodies and pretend the party were asking you to vote for had nothing to do with it”.

That says more about you than anything, since the ad is about how he disrespected a POW, and historically POW's are considered heroes and had to put up with a lot of death and violence.

Trump was in a pissing match with John McCain and that’s who he was referring to. He doesn’t have some strange personal vendetta against POWs as a whole. But his comment was stupid, in poor taste and poorly thought out, yes.

But you know what else is?

Exploiting images of death and violence to hammer home a barely related political message. That’s all this ad was. If the assholes they are begging us to vote for gave a fuck about POWs they wouldn’t have started all those wars that fucked them up in the first place. Nor would they be continuing to clamor for war every chance they get.

Fuck this shitty ad. It’s a cheap exploitation of people they are only pretending to give a shit about. It’s political theatre. Not buying it. Go fish.

For starters...advertising agencies didn't start all these wars and people who work in them might actually give a fuck about POWs....what you're saying is you don't want to hear about it because...Trump vs John McCain.....and ignore things like arms dealers and the lobby they have to profit from war.....yeah...let's make it about a hollywood film crew

Really? FDR was a Democrat? Well, knock me over with a feather.
Maybe, just maybe I meant something different and expected you'd pick up on it.

Many stupid off the cuff comments by the orange person is the understatement of the year. However, I think you were getting a true picture of how this ass hole thinks.

I don't believe this to be true, to be honest. He's a dumbshit, no doubt, but I don't think even he would say this kind of shit.

Sure he would. This is exactly the sort of thing he'd say. He has no empathy.

When he rambles off insane bullshit he's not thinking about what comes next...he's spewing chunks to see what sticks on the wall. Trump is a tiny shell of a man...a coward..a liar and a cheat

Think it? Sure. say it? I doubt it. it sounds too good to be true (good in the sense of proof he's a fucking idiot).

Sure. “You love Trump” is usually what the conversation devolves to when no arguments are left.

You fell head over heels for a crappy sensationalist political ad, so much so you felt inclined to make an entire thread about it. Sorry I made fun of it and pointed out the glaring irony of the ad inadvertently proving Democrats are also pieces of shit. I thought it was a pretty interesting take, didn’t mean to make you guys’ heads explode.

If you mean "sorry I totally argued against something that wasn't what the commercial was about nor anyone with sense would make the association" then I apology accepted.

You’re appalled that I would point out any irony within that ad because it’s “not what the commercial was about”. What the fuck does that even mean? Nobody is supposed to comment on the ad unless they accept its premise? I didn’t realize “POWs” and “war” were two subjects that were so astronomically unrelated to one another. How would anyone dare to suggest it.

You were fawning over a dumb commercial, I made fun of it, you got mad and now we aren’t arguing about anything. So get the last word in and I’ll stop talking about it.
